I've seen the pictures, in none of them is a paying audience member visible, nor did I realise IWA:DS was a thing, and I've not heard of either wrestler before this morning. At some point you just need to shrug your shoulders and let idiots be idiots, because it's literally not worth the effort being annoyed or outraged at something so utterly pointless (pun intended).

The opening conceit of this all sounds so bad already, but then you tack on "run by a Holocaust Denier" and it's like. Damn maybe this is why people think wrestling is an embarrassment. If not? They should. People who think wrestling is embarrassing because sweaty men in tights or whatever should be shown this shitshow and be told to at least disrespect wrestling for the right reasons. Real shit.

People that mock IWA-MS forget IWA Deep South exists and is so much more shindy.

And we know what next deathmatch companies DSOTR will cover next.
I am honestly shocked Ian Rotten has not made it there yet.
Which reminds me...the FMW episode made me think of this too. We need to remember that wrestling should be PRETEND HURTING EACH OTHER. For the most part.

I hope the twenty bucks payoff and the five minute of internet fame for both people was worth it.
This crap is bad for everyone, wrestlers and wrestling in general, on top of the massive medical bills they're now facing, it is gong to make it harder to anyone else to run shows because of the fallout. Venues and the local press aren't going to see much difference between regular wrestling and deathmatch wrestling.

I'm a deathmatch wrestling fan and these guys are a bunch of dopes. IWA DS is a joke amongst the deathmatch community with how amateurish they are.

Basically holding his own hand in place.

I’m pretty sure Pro Wrestling Tees has pulled all the IWA Deep South merchandise. I was surprised after chazraps posted about the owner being a Hitler apologist that PWT would want to associate with them in any form. I’m not sure if it’s the Hitler stuff or the fallout from this stupidity. But when I Googled IWA Deep South Pro Wrestling Tees a bunch of merch links popped up. When you click on them though you get 404 error pages. The very first link to pop up was this: www.prowrestlingtees.com/scatamania-brown.htmlYes, a brown shirt hyping Scatamania. How fitting.

What's the next violent step up from this? Honestly?
Feels like we are only a couple years away from circumcising a dude with a paper cut before you go for the 1-2-3

The problem with this logic is that something like this going viral can have devastating effects on not just deathmatch wrestling, but independent wrestling as a whole. Something like this catches the eye of athletic commissions or even possible venues, and now it's much harder for companies that don't promote limb loss to operate. Stuff like this is why say, GCW won't be able to have a full-on deathmatch at their highly anticipated Hammerstein Ballroom card.

Oh absolutely, which is essentially why I'm saying it should be ignored and not given the attention (either positive or negative) that the people behind it so clearly crave. It was an idiotic stunt (for want of a better word) by a load of sad nobodies playing at being Deathmatch wrestlers in someone's backyard, and they should be continued to be treated as the nobodies they are by everyone even vaguely connected to wrestling.

I assume there's first aiders or somebody with some sort of medical assistant at these shows? Must really dispair studying hard to help people and get your certificate and you end up patching up childish attention seeking masochists.

I don't follow deathmatch wrestling at all, so I'm curious what makes good deathmatch wrestling versus bad deathmatch wrestling? Besides obvious things like amputation.

My analogy is that a good Deathmatch should follow the same principles as a horror movie in that a good horror movie should be first and foremost a good film with added horror elements. As soon as a horror film becomes just a collection of gore scenes, it renders it virtually pointless.

Yeah, it's pretty identical to what good hardcore/street fight/falls count anywhere matches are, as opposed to idiots breaking tables and concussing themselves with chairs with no rhyme or reason. Something like the Jimmy Lloyd vs. G-Raver rivalry was chock full of psychology and story-telling in all of their matches, for example.
