It's so perfect. If you listen to the original Midnight Express theme, it is a faithful tribute. The only real difference to my ears is the pacing but other than that, it makes me think of 1986 and especially Miami Vice.
Now, they need to give these guys more personality and have Tully with them at all times. I still feel like they're missing something and they're getting lost in the tag team shuffle as a result.

How about for your entrance music we use the music I hear in my head at all times?! “ - The Forbidden Door (probably) “Eh…Coked out boss is still better than comedy jobber shit…” - Dax (probably)

A knock-off of a knock-off and I genuinely love it.

It feels like a logical extension of how the Pinnacle theme is really obviously evoking the Four Horsemen theme. I dig it.
At least in this case, though, they're rather explicit in that it's a throwback and openly bring it up, along with Wight or Tony comparing one of FTR to Dennis Condrey. Thankfully, in-ring, not out of it, or it'd be more like, "Say, Dax seems like the kind of guy who'd disappear without a trace and make questionable career choices."

Excalibur described it as 'Moroder-esque' the other week on Dark and I thought that was just spot on. I love the theme.
And I just realised the title is a nod to Darkside of the ring.

I like it! I love the retro feeling. It's definitely unique.
Btw kinda off topic but since we're talking about FTR, I really enjoyed their match this week on Dark Elevation vs Lee Moriarity and LSG

Something about the presentation of FTR and this theme just feels off. FTR takes a lot of influence from a fair amount of 80s tag teams. The Midnights are defintiely one of them, but presentation wise, I see more of the Horsemen/Andersons in FTR than the Midnights, and I feel like SAY YEAH fits that aesthetic better. Right now, the Midnight Express knock-off theme feels like I went into a 2K game set in 1987 and changed the Horsemen's theme to the Midnight Express's theme.
Maybe FTR will adopt more characteristics of the Midnights as time goes on, especially if the Pinnacle ends up splitting and FTR possibly goes face for the first time in their careers, but it just feels weird right now.

I still think that they need another key ingredient in order to really stand out. I want to see more promos of them with Tully, perhaps aboard an actual Lear Jet or something to emphasize that they're more like the Horsemen than Midnights. Though a face FTR? I don't see it working.
