I think MCMG are a lock
The tag division needs the names and they have a pre-built in rivalry with the Bucks that still has juice left to it.

If MCMG's sign, it just adds to the absolute insane year of signings

I think they've done all they could do in TNA and Alex Shelley had a pretty good run with their world title. Would love to see them on a bigger American stage besides that cup of coffee with AEW at All Out 2022.

I do hope they're used much better than the last time they were in AEW in the event that they sign.

Can't wait for AEW to never mention their TNA/Impact past, and just say "they've held multiple world championships in ROH, IWGP, New Japan... and elsewhere".

Does AEW have any issues with TNA? They didn't use any TNA footage of Sting for his retirement and I found that weird. Sure, TNA gave us Joker Sting and his wackiness but he had his good times there as well and he worked for them for a while.

I don't see why they'd have any issues with TNA or TNA would have any issues with them. Unless Anthem aren't fans of them for whatever reason.

IIRC Tony is pretty good friends with Scott D'Amore so maybe he wasn't happy with the way Anthem fired him. That's the only thing I can think of.

It is also weird that they never mention that Deonna Purrazzo is a multi-time Knockouts champion.

What the heck is Tony doing Dude wouldn't be bad to have around for backstage, coaching, etc Wrestling wise though he needs to desperately refresh his act

Matt Hardy is apparently a really good backstage guy and a lot of younger talent have put that over. But dude's just cooked from an in-ring standpoint and doesn't do a whole lot even as a manager figure. I'm actually surprised AEW is interested in re-signing him, though I guess that might be because of Jeff.

They were doing something with them, particularly Jeff, and I'm sure Tony would like the chance to send them out on a high together, doesn't work as well if Matt's contract expires and they just have Jeff. They're one of those acts where AEW would be absolutely fine without them but it wouldn't hurt keeping them around either. A veteran backstage who gets along with people is no bad thing.

And there’s no real way to find out how much or how long this new deal is. Could be a full one, could be a couple of years and it could be about the same value as the old one was. And for all we know, Matt could pass on it and take it to WWE to match. Has happened before and will continue to happen as an alternate exists.
