To be fair it has been 30 years since T2. It has, but he seems to have hit a Ric Flair stage, as he looked mid-50s five years ago and now he looks in his 70s. Part of it could be he's playing John Cena's asshole dad so they aren't going to try and mask his age with makeup and lighting like other shows he's been in.

It’s probably cause for years I have known him as a clean cut baby face wrestler.
Hearing Cena drop regular F bombs is wild to me… I like it, and I’m looking forward to this

I just want to remind everyone that Robert Patrick was in The Marine (Cenas first movie) too.

This kinda came out of nowhere.
I still have to watch yesterday's Book Of Boba Fett and The Eternals. And I'm gonna want to rewatch The Suicide Squad before THREE epiosdes.
Where do some of y'all find the time?

Where do some of y'all find the time? I am a stay at home dad. Do yourself a favor and watch the opening titles real quick. You can come back to the rest later.

The opening is amazing and Cena was great. In fact the whole cast was really good. But I don't know, something about it isn't really clicking with me. I think it's the way it's trying to marry a very gritty, bloody, anyone can die story with wacky comedy. And like, I know that can work, I've seen plenty of shows and movies like that. Maybe it's just the feeling that I sat through the equivalent of a two hour movie only to realize it's not done yet and probably only gonna get even bloodier and morally ambiguous? Or maybe it's just that it seems the only way DC can portray their heroes anymore is either super-dark and brooding or as total clowns who can't be taken seriously, and that kind of severe dichotomy just isn't doing it for me anymore?

Just watched the first episode and... Opening sequence is spectacular and it has some bits that made me snicker but for the most part it really just didn't work for me, was checking the time left on it a looooot. I'll probably watch the other episodes later to see if it comes into its own a bit more but so far it kind of just feels like it's trying too hard and seemed very unfocused, kind of not terribly convinced Peacemaker works very well as a lead character.

Watched the first episode...is this a parody of left-wing comedy? It feels that Gunn has spent a lot of time lurking on 4chan

I never imagined I'd ever see Cena yelling "Freedom" at the top of his lungs while balls deep in a naked metahuman, but it's every bit as disturbing as I'm sure I'd have imagined it to be. It's so jarring seeing the guy who came to epitomise the watered-down family-friendly WWE product in things like this.

Watched the first two episodes with my brother. We both liked it but the show does drag.

Watched all 3. Feels like the comedy is a bit try hard and grating when they are doing something as serious as the final sequence with the dad in ep3.
I'm intrigued, I laughed out loud a few times and I do think Cena plays this role very well.
The guy whose in charge of the unit, the actor needs to enunciate better. He was hard to hear at times.

Gonna go out on a limb and say that I think James Gunn is a fan of hair metal.
