Punk would be a clever choice, replacing Kingston's friend and advancing while Kingston was taken out by ref stoppage. Orange wouldn't be a bad choice to be the first guy to beat Punk, either.
This is one of the few times that I think AEW could pull a DQ finish and advance a few stories in the process. Kingston attacks OC and Punk, causing a no contest, furthering the Kingston/Punk feud while adding the layer of Punk taking Mox's spot. OC can advance and give Danielson a run for his money before losing.
The beauty is that any of these scenarios would work because AEW's mostly been disciplined in how they book.

Honestly, I’m good with either man winning. Danielson/Hangman seems like that’ll be super fun and Miro taking on Hangman and losing would send him down a worse path to a Asura’s Wrath style brawl with God.

AEW has been so good with some of their booking..they can put in a last minute replacement and still come out with a match that either winner will be a great first opponent for Hangman and both can afford a big loss. I’ll take either one but I’ll say Bryan. Hangman/Bryan is money.
