Good on him for taking control. Parenthood is a great motivator for many. Wishing him and his family luck.

Big fan of butts, myself. Jon Moxley's butt. Good butt (perhaps literally). On a more serious note, I wonder if they'll hold off on Mox's heel turn when he returns since nobody will probably be booing him anytime soon. "We're the good guysbutts." And yeah it'd be a really hard sell to have him as a heel when he comes back, I know I can't see myself doing anything other than rooting for him as a mega face then.

Talk about butts or something. Big fan of butts, myself. I like them too, but I think mine's defective. It's got a crack down the middle of it🤔 Sorry for being cheeky😁

As someone who works for SAMHSA, we welcome MOX with open arms.

So, yeah. paywindah gets a time out no doubt about it. Also, to paywindah, considering your little shtick, it ends here, when you get back, and from beyond that. Don't ever post in the AEW section again unless you want your time out to be permanent. Just to be clear, if you ever post again in the AEW section you're banned with no expiration date. Going a bit further, don't try to be cute and refer to AEW related stuff on the other boards. Everyone else, ignore what just happened and carry on your usual business. Talk about butts or something. Something, something big butts and I cannot something...

There is so much toxic, dark stuff out there, I'm almost a little dumbstruck to see something healthy and positive happening. They're not WEIRD about it, is what I keep circling back to. It can just be a person getting help and taking care of his health, and we're all happy he has the opportunity to get that help, and we're all patient while it happens. No seediness, no shaming, no anger, no mockery. Everyone is just open about this position of vulnerability he's in, because it's absolutely not remotely close to anything he should be ashamed of. As society overall becomes a lot more open and decent about mental health about things like this, it's a relief and a mild surprise to see that wrestling has by and large been so good about it and been so open and decent about these things. So many people in the business have been so ravaged by addiction that the openness here is in service of moving on from that. Being honest and respectful of it from the top down is how you destigmatize asking for help in the industry.

Punk's shoutout to Mox in his promo tonight was real classy. I dunno how well they know each other, but I figured they knew each other fairly well because he and Renee are good friends from their time on WWE Backstage together.

Punk was a class act tonight. And he further proved that almost no one in wrestling can hold a crowd like he can. He's one of the best guys on that mic to do it in the modern era and potentially any era. The seamless transition into his Kingston beef was also a chef's kiss
Punk has been slowly and slowly coming back to form in wrestling by every appearance and match. That promo really felt like the complete package of him. Just good stuff. Glad he was the one to address it to the crowd.
Also if they had plans to turn Mox heel... that might have to change. No one wants to boo him after this for good reason. When he comes back that pop will be insanity.

Yeah, I had Dynamite on in the background while I was reading Mox's book. Good stuff from Punk.

According to Meltzer: Tony Khan told him this was the second worst week he ever had to deal with in terms of a wrestling show because of how much he had to change in such a short amount of time and the emotions of Moxley's situation. The first is obviously Brodie's passing but he made a direct point that both were hard in very different and obvious ways.
Says a lot that this even outranks the first pandemic shows and the Georgia Tapings.

Kind of a side note, but dual diagnosis beds/programs are notoriously hard to find and have been even harder in the past year for obvious reasons. I'm glad Mox could get one, and I hope he gives himself credit to even be in a position where a decent program is an obtainable option for him.

It really is more like reading a journal than a straight autobiography. He comes off like a guy who genuinely loves wrestling and appreciates the fans.

For those wondering Vince Russo is still an attention seeking jackass, even in situations like this.
