Hasnt Vin got it in his contract that nobody can beat him in a fight in the movies? What a mark This makes him sound more like Vin Triple H than Vin Diesel

What a mark Not to defend the guy as it is pretty pathetic but In all fairness the Rock & Stathem have it too All 3 have contract demands that limit the amount of punishment they take in fights within the F&F world and the Rock also has at times changed scenes so his character was able to go to one knee instead of knocked all the way down They chalked it up to being “Alphas” but you’d think an Alpha would be more secure in what they perceive as manliness that they wouldn’t get so bent out of shape over a fake fight It always comes to mind for me whenever people talk about how cool the Rock is

Its pretty pathetic. At least wrestlers may lose their push or overness and as a result money if they job too much or to the wrong person. But are any directors gonna say "Sorry Dwayne, we're not casting you as the lead because your character got beat up in Fast 9. Did Rock and Statham really call themselves alphas non ironically? If you have to call yourself an alpha then your not an alpha

It is business. Yes, Rock is uncool for having a clause in his contract

Especially for stuff we don't have any definitive proof of? Like, it's not even the most ridiculous contract clause I heard (a football player signing for Sunderland many years ago had an interest in space travel so the club put a clause in his contract that he wasn't allowed to take any space flights whilst signed for the club, for example).

Why is Vin Diesel so cringe? You answered your own question. He's cringe because he's Vin Diesel.

It is business. Yes, Rock is uncool for having a clause in his contract My point wasn’t about actor one in particular having the clause, it’s the fact that they all need it. It just strikes me as 3 dudes being insecure about they come across to others which I understand to an extent, no one is gonna buy you as an action star if you’re getting whopped all the time and not getting someone back but like I said, just seems everyone is a bit precious about play-acting (I get it’s highly lucrative play acting however) And my comment about the rock being looked upon as cool was just a feeling that I get from little quotes here and there and that he has this persona about being a chill awesome dude but that in the background might be a bit more high-maintenance to say the least I have absolutely no proof of this and could/likely be way off the mark and I love the Rocks movies for the most part (Wouldn’t have watched Jungle Cruise if not for him ha) so this isn’t a hate post or anything. It’s just a sense I get (And again, no proof, and social cues in general ain’t normally my speciality so you know…..just one random message board users opinion lol

See other clauses like this as well. One British actor, whose name eludes me, had it in his contract that he wouldn't have to work whenever the English team were playing cricket. Arthur Lowe was another with an interesting clause, stating he'd never have to take his trousers off on camera.

They are right to have that clause in their contracts. WWE has shown what happens when you book a guy to be a chump. They should no sell everything. Protect their images. No one wants to watch a movie to see Rock lose a fight.

I’ve never seen any of these films, but did see an extended trailer for one of them. That ten minutes alone felt like I’d seen the whole franchise..

Hasnt Vin got it in his contract that nobody can beat him in a fight in the movies? What a mark The Rock thought that he got out of carny wrestling bullshit... but then carny wrestling bullshit caught up to him in his new job. "You will do as I say. No one goes against the word of Vincent Kennedy McDiesel, goddamn it!"
