I miss when alpha males settled it with a discussion with the boss.
There's an interview with Robert Patrick floating around on YouTube about filming T2.
He said that he weighed 150lbs and Arnold could curl 150lbs at the time.
Arnold wanted to lift Patrick overhead in the first face-off at the mall.
Jim Cameron stopped it by explaining the T-1000 character is much more dense and heavier than Patrick, and the character is a much more advanced machine. The T800 cannot pick him up.
Done.

I feel these guys should all watch Die Hard. They need to understand being an action star doesn't mean they have to look strong all the time.

If one guy has it in his contract why wouldn’t i? It is business. Yes, Rock is uncool for having a clause in his contract My point wasn’t about actor one in particular having the clause, it’s the fact that they all need it. It just strikes me as 3 dudes being insecure about they come across to others which I understand to an extent, no one is gonna buy you as an action star if you’re getting whopped all the time and not getting someone back but like I said, just seems everyone is a bit precious about play-acting (I get it’s highly lucrative play acting however) And my comment about the rock being looked upon as cool was just a feeling that I get from little quotes here and there and that he has this persona about being a chill awesome dude but that in the background might be a bit more high-maintenance to say the least I have absolutely no proof of this and could/likely be way off the mark and I love the Rocks movies for the most part (Wouldn’t have watched Jungle Cruise if not for him ha) so this isn’t a hate post or anything. It’s just a sense I get (And again, no proof, and social cues in general ain’t normally my speciality so you know…..just one random message board users opinion lol That's what I have gotten out of it. Vin Diesel does has a huge ego while the Rock may be a nice guy he has always come off as someone with thin skin and unable to take criticism.

We’ve gotten this far and nobody has brought up how Vin photoshopped himself to look bigger than Rock?

Honestly, I take the "can't lose a fight" clause to be more a preventative thing against a director doing something stupid than needing to prove how "alpha" these guys are. I mean, with the amount of movies guys like Rock, Jason Statham, and to a lesser degree, Vin Diesel do, why wouldn't you have something in your contract to be like "Don't make me look bad"?
I won't say ego doesn't play a part, but being an actor is all about ego; gotta protect your brand.

It does get more than a little gross how Vin Diesel keeps using Paul Walker's name in these ways. I'm sure it's not intended that way, but it does come off as exploitive, especially when Rock said no.

Tom Cruise, who wields far more Hollywood power than either Diesel or the Rock, gets beat up and outfoxed in the Mission Impossible movies all the time. The hero being vulnerable makes it more rewarding when they win. Diesel’s being crushed under parking garages and pulling down buildings with his bare hands, that’s just ridiculous.

Goddamn, Rock is just done with Vin Diesel's bullshit. So glad he called him out on the Paul Walker thing. I know Vin and Paul were super close, but it's always felt super gross how everything from F7 onwards has been "because that's what Paul would've wanted."
"We're making three more movies because Paul would've wanted it."
"We're making a spinoff because that's what Paul would've wanted."
"We're making a cartoon series because Paul would've wanted it."
I suppose it reads better than "I'm desperately trying to keep one of my revenue streams afloat, because the Marvel stuff isn't going to last forever and the Riddick stuff just isn't getting over."

Listen guys, Paul would have wanted the next movie to feature a car so fast it can leave Earth's gravity and land on the Moon. This car is so cool it can fall off a mountain, crash through skyscrapers, land in a swimming pool, climb out of the pool, shag hot babes, drink a million bottles of whiskey, and win the F1 race in Dubai or some other Middle Eastern country that offers tax breaks to film there as part of a highly cynical public relations campaign.

That was such a polite f*** you stop bothering me I have read in a long time
Calling out his BS using his kids and Paul Walker should strike a nerve with Vin as that was clear manipulation that did not work. The fact Rock said he addressed this a while ago also should hurt Vin ego. You tried to play the public angle and it did not work
Tyrese and Vin Diesel pushed him away too far to deal with their BS

I like a bunch of stuff Vin Diesel has done, but he’s like the only person on the planet who has anything to say about The Rock and, more tellingly, he’s also the only person that The Rock has ever said anything bad about.
This does not speak well, at all, for Mr Vin.
It’s like how Mr Rogers was only ever critical of one organization (to the point where legal action was taken).
