First one that comes to mind is Razor Ramon in 1993. Exactly the same dude, except he fought faces.
The reverse of this is definitely Shawn Michaels face turn in 1995. Lost his edge and became a stale babyface within months.
Other heels that turned face that kept their edge?

Austin. Even when he saved Stephanie from marrying the Undertaker she hugged him, Austin didn't really reciprocate the gesture because she was still a McMahon and he wasn't there to be a hero, he was just doing the right thing. This moment always defined what you are talking about to me. This is just one example. Austin was the same beer drinking, no nonsense, ass kicker if he was heel or face. At least until 2001.
I'd add Undertaker too.

Not one of the obvious answers here, but I feel like the Nasty Boys didn't adjust a thing when they turned face. They were just mad at Jimmy Hart and Money Inc. and suddenly got cheered as a result.

Eddie Guererro is a prime example of someone who had the same general personal whether face or heel and thrived in his character no matter which side of the coin he was on at the time.

Steve Austin immediately comes to mind. Only time he ever lost it was oddly when they turned him heel again

Demolition pretty much stayed the same after they turned face. The Hart Foundation too as they would still cheat a decent bit for babyfaces.

I'd argue Undertaker is a solid example. Despite goofy storylines like "fighting an inexplicable evil copy brought in by Ted Dibiase" or "this guy melted down my urn to make a gold chain for himself", he still had the same aura that he did as a heel, except now he was fighting the WWF's evildoers.

Kurt Angle, because he was so Howdy Doody to start out with. He just got more beastly, if anything.

Randy Savage after his first face turn in WWF. If anything he was even crazier when a face as he was defending Elizabeth rather than using her as a shield.

Orton burns people alive as a face.
Regal became a beloved veteran but the old villain still had that dark side to him.

The Hart Foundation too as they would still cheat a decent bit for babyfaces. That's who I was going to say. Only real change was smiling a bit more, but they were the same team as when they were heels, like you said, down to cheating.
