You know it would've been fun if like in The Comics, Cyclops convinced The Sentinels that the Sun is the reason why Mutants exist and they all fly off to it and get burned up by it

What a show, I loved the entire run. Sure, there are things I'd change, but that comes down to personal adaption choices.

It also can't be set before the cliffhanger because Captain America is in this show, and he was stuck in limbo prior to the Secret Wars saga, which took place after the clone MJ died. Demayo got fired, so anything he says doesnt count for much anymore. The Cap point is a good one though. |

So if someone is fired from the production, it suddenly makes all their decisions and intentions non-canon? DeMayo's work and influence will be all over season two. The whole thing has been written and recorded, it just needs animating. You won't see anything that contradicts DeMayo until the third season. Spidey could well show up in season two and have a speaking part that confirms he found her, and DeMayo is aware something like that could happen. Not saying that will happen necessarily, but there's that option. I get it, some people actually want to see Peter rescue Mary Jane on-screen rather than just have them shown to be fine after the fact, but as much as they always tend to steal the show whenever they walk into a room together, this isn't their show. It was just a nice little Easter egg to give us all closure. I wouldn't overthink it. It just feels like a very weird thing to be contrarian about. |

Given the campaign for a Spiderman '98 is in full swing, I dont see them letting that cliffhanger just be undone in a throw away cameo. So, DeMayo's intention may have been that, but I dont think it will be that if SM98 goes forward. Which I hope it does, at which point it deserves it's right to tell that story. It was a nice Easter egg, but now we have a chance to get a full story, I dont want that egg, take it back. It'll be more likely the Cap appearance that causes continuity issues, and if it ever gets cleared up, it'll be fun to see how. |

also glad we didn't get mystique either. didn't need her. Val Cooper was Val Cooper. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Onslaught's probably going to happen. They seem to love making Capcom references, even having Cyclops do the "BEHOLD!" pose. The only thing missing was a voice shouting "X!". |
