So for those of you with Spotify, the 2021 wrapped is now up. Man I knew I liked Grunge but I didn't realise just how hooked I was to it this year ;D If you have yours, please share and let's see what's kept you going in 2021.

Guns N Roses
Not a surprise. That was probably propped up by two new songs though.

My most listened to artist is Overkill of all bands (but then, I've been binging all of their albums lately anyway).

Per Spotify, my most listened to...
1)Bones 2)Ghostmane 3)Toothgrinder 4)Cage (rap artist, not the power metal band) 5)Anaal Nathrakh
Surprised there wasn't more metal. I think the short length of a lot of Bones and Ghostmane songs helped put them over the top.
Most listened to songs:
1)Icanseemyhousefromhere- Bones 2)The Shadow- Toothgrinder 3)Drawing Down The Moon- INSPIRIT 4)Sodium- Bones 5)In Dying Days- As Blood Runs Black

I went on a pretty heavy Queens of the Stone Age kick over the summer, so that got my #1 spot...
1. Queens of the Stone Age 2. Arctic Monkeys 3. "Weird Al" Yankovic (I just listened to his entire discography beginning to end so not surprising) 4. Amy Shark 5. Foo Fighters
And listened to a whole bunch of podcasts.

1. Pet Shop Boys (They're never leaving this spot) 2. Madonna 3. Trevor Something 4. Erasure 5. Dup Lipa
Bit surprised by 2 and 3, Madonna, meh I guess, but I don't remember listening to Trevor much, I would have thought NINA would be number 2, been listening to her a TON.
Most listened to songs
1. "Axis" by Pet Shop Boys 2. Cafe Del Mar 3. "Lust for Life" (Prodigy Remix) by Iggy Pop 4. "Adagio for Strings" by Tiesto 5. "Sun to Me" by Faithless
Mine's probably a little out of whack from playing Spotify lists people have made for a virtual club I have a hand in.

Mine got ruined by my wfh playlists, only song I could actually name if played to me was Adagio for Strings" by Tiesto. Mostly lo-fi hop, piano, jazz and trance stuff don't know the names of (yes I find Trance good to work too).
It did tell me I'm in the top whatever percent of people that listen to Lorde which just reminded me what a disappointment her album was this year. Must have listened to that...once, maybe twice.
And as always Britpop, Pulp and Stone Roses in particular.

I like how Spotify basically said "Joe Rogan is your new god. You listened to him 4 times this year". I think the episodes were Taker, Stanhope, Gilbert Gottfried, and Bill Burr may have gotten in under the year. I know Stanhope and Gilbert for sure, the rest I am just pretty sure of.

Thats Sports Team song is not even from 2021 I tried to listen to some newer stuff.. and I liked a bit of it. But no 2021 song got into my top 100. If I had to guess my most played 2021 song was something by St Vincent .. I really dug her Daddy’s Home album

Apparently my top five artists were:
Teenage Fanclub The Lemonheads My Bloody Valentine Ash Dinosaur Jr.
Looking at that list makes me feel weird, I wasn't even a teenager when the nineties ended.
