Yeah so far it doesn't seem to be having Sony's 1st party games day 1 (yet at least) so we'll see how that turns out. But all these previous console games, I'm interested. Guess we'll see how this goes.
Regardless this is a great first step. The more people that push towards that GamePass-like service, the better.

What they did with the PS5 and letting you get games for Free was a very smart idea. They can build on that and be just as good as GamePass. Just bump the pricing and lump in the PS Now shit and other content. $100 for a year subscription is doable

I think an issue you're going to kind of run into with the PS2 games is the question of how many of them that would really draw haven't already been remastered, released on PS4, or have licensing issues surrounding them? The only things I can really think of that'd be worthwhile that'd have any kind of chance of actually ending up on there are the Persona games (and there've been rumors of a 3 remaster anyway), Ape Escape 3, and Way of the Samurai. Maaaybe Warrior Within and Two Thrones or some of the old Mortal Kombat games? Possibly Haunting Ground?
Granted Way of the Samurai and Ape Escape 3 would be enough to sell me on it but...

Being able to play PS1 and PS2 games on a HDTV without looking like ass would sell this on me alone. PSP games on there would be amazing, especially for games that never saw HD console or PC ports like Crisis Core or Dissidia 012.

I honestly don't know if I would want something like gamepass for the PlayStation. As stated, many of Sony's best games have been remastered and as much as I would love to play the older Resident Evils, what I really want is more Remastered versions with trophies.
Still, once I get it in my hands, I'll probably shut up and love it.

This would absolutely help Sony out, and they need it cause the PlayStation is the only thing that makes them money at this point. Meanwhile, Microsoft's bread and butter is in their software division through annual licenses and the recent Windows 11 rollout, so anything the Xbox does is gravy to them, and I say that as an Xbox fan.

This is a weird one but I get the urge to play the Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force games and they literally never made one for the Vita so if this service can do it, it was worth me buying a 2022 extension (and likely more if the sale pops up again next year). Or hell, let me play Persona 2 on my PS4 without having to jump through hoops or pay a stupid price on my Vita for it.
I’m all for it, Now never really had that bad a library and even with that, they’re more than capable of shaking up both those and the Plus games if they can pull that off.

I hope that, if they do it, that they learned their lesson from the Playstation Mini and don't half-ass it.

It's too late to even catch the Game Pass, they've had their chances and they've blown it time and time again. If their big plan doesn't include big Sony Day One releases, like Halo Infinite for the Game Pass, then there's no way they're going to get anyone to jump on board with this anymore than people have jumped on board with Now. Especially if they raise the price of Now and it turns out that's the only reason why they're doing this.

Yes, I have Gamepass Ultimate which does the pc and the cloud stuff as well. So I believe if you have that (and a good internet connection) you can play Halo:Infinite on the XBox 1?

The biggest problem PSNow has (aside from the atrocious navigation setup) is the fact that their availability is completely erratic. First-party titles like Spider-Man, The Last of Us II, hell even God of War have come and left the service with oftentimes very small windows to play the games (hell, I didn't even realize Spider-Man showed up on the damned service until it was already removed!). There's zero excuse to not have a permanent lock on your first-party, short of music licensing or some other major rights issue. If they don't correct this with their GamesPass competitor, they're already fighting an uphill battle.
Second, and this is a big one: they need to remember that this service is one that needs continuous support to survive, and simply dumping all their bargain bin titles out there when it's no longer profitable to see in the store simply isn't going to cut it. Of all the titles on PS Now, only like 20% of them are worth the money. Bolster those numbers (even before relying on legacy titles from PS 1-4/PSP), or again it'll be ignored like PS Now, PS TV, and PS Minis have been.

Even better, since the game is a "Play Anywhere" game you can seamlessly move between XBox to PC to XCloud with the same game file. Helps when I'm playing through a game like Dragon Quest XI, being able to transition between them so I can play my game saves during my lunch breaks at work (https://www.xbox.com/play).
