Gotta admit, after 15 years of failures to bring a live-action Halo into reality, and eight years of this particular attempt's development, I never thought I'd actually see it happen.

As someone who knows little to nothing about Halo beyond the basics. This actually looked pretty good to me. Granted the fanboys might think different, but hey not every adaptation has to be tailored for them.

Looking good so far. Coincidentally, I was listening to an old episode of the "Best Movies Never Made" podcast with one of the screenwriters involved with the attempted Peter Jackson version of Halo and wanted to just suggest that if you'd ever like to hear what a verbal near miss sounds like. www.electricnow.tv/shows/best-movies-never-made/season/3/episode/4

Visually it looks like they pretty much nailed it. Kind of firmly not for me regardless but at least does feel like they got the look pretty much down.

I wouldn't call myself a "fanboy," but I grew up playing the games and just started playing Infinite - they nailed the look of this thing. If they really wanted to make the fanboys lose it, using that original theme song they used in the first trailer instead of the Phil Collins cover would have done the trick, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
Edit: I just went to go look at the Halo Reddit and everybodyyyy hates the trailer. So, I guess I'm not a fanboy period. :-)

I thought it started incredibly strong, first half was excellent, then it took some turns in the back half that really cooled me down but I’m very intrigued. I’m definitely gonna let it play out, has a lot of potential.
Also, I don’t give a flying f*** that Master Chief showed his face. People really need to get over that, it’s a narrative decision for TV, it’s not like Halo Infinite has a Justin Bailey code for Master Chief or something

Not gonna lie, for some reason I read "Paramount+" as "HBOMax" and thought they were making a series about the Outsiders character from DC Comics.

Master Chief should show his face and reveal that he has some absurd and wacky looking facial hair.

Really liked the first half, going to be curious to see where it goes. Also, fanboys need to stop wanting to see video games brought to TV/movies shot for shot. If they want that, play the damn video game.

With the show's season wrapping up, I thought I'd bump the thread to see what everyone thinks of it. I also thought I'd link to the Halo episode of "The Best Movies Never Made" because I've seen some reactions to some things from the game changing (or not being "respected" because that is how any change is taken by certain aspects of Twitter) and felt like sharing this ep because it gives an insight on how screenwriters come into video game adaptations (Spoiler: different media = different take). www.electricnow.tv/shows/best-movies-never-made/season/3/episode/4
