That comic actually sounds more fun than anything else from the clone saga. I mean, Octo-Spidey! I've always said there's some really good stories in the Clone Saga (and some stinkers as well). I actually really liked the Spider-Man: The Lost Years mini-series if anybody's interested. The Saga's bigger problem though was that its many parts never added up to a coherent whole. It was just a mess of competing, inconsistent visions and editorial interference.

Linkara continues his increasing inability to release videos on time with this much delayed review of the comic book adaptation of a little know art house movie called Star Wars -
Those old Marvel Star Wars comics were written at a time when there were no prequels, no sequels, no novels, no EU, no cartoons, no Disney+ series. Just a single movie set in a universe that's not terribly fleshed out and those Marvel writers just have to make things up as they go. It's weird to look back on some of those stories sometimes.

I've only realised recently how much I've gone off Linkara & his videos, to me he's just a nitpicking whiny asshole
I've found myself watching Comic Tropes, Casually Comics, Cartoonist Kayfabe and Comic Pop more than him as they are in my opinion sometimes funnier and in some cases more informative

It's been forever since I watched one of his videos." I clicked on the thread, saw your comment, and thought, "Oh yeah. That's why I stopped watching his videos."

My biggest issue with Linkara is lots of his vids is just him reading the comic and making faces and noises...
Gave up on him a long time ago. Like someone above mentioned there is much better channels. One I aint seen mentioned is Jerkcomics. He only does at most 4 vids a month but they are well researched stuff on comics he has read more than ONCE.

My main issue is just that it can feel like the stuff he really wants to do is spread out for other stuff which in his early career is fine, now when people are doing multi part stuff to get consistent clicks, doesn’t feel as logical. I’m still a fan but I’m glad for the recommendations to spread my wings a bit more.

Linkara would be best served simply becoming an analyst channel, pair up with a guy who can talk about sales impact, or try to shoot the breeze with one of the comic creators responsible for what he's reviewing, even if it's bad, a lot of these guys are good sports. You see this happen with Rolfe a lot on AVGN videos.

It's true, pretty much all the stuff I listen to about any media now has behind the scenes stuff, sales, a unique perspective, over time the main series has become a bit... lightweight.
Ironically, his History of Power Rangers is far more in line with online reviews right now. Thing is he's so methodical it takes forever to get them done and if he's already having trouble keeping to schedule...

I actually find myself enjoying Comic Book Quickies more now (any youtube channels which simply discuss comic book ads? There's enough material to do one).

I've never really kept up with Linkara. I've mainly only watched his videos on stuff I'm interested in and even then, there is something about the way he reviews things that doesn't always keep my attention. That being said I loved when he did those big multi videos of the histories of certain characters, like The Blue Beetle and Teen Titan's retrospectives. Also I want to add to the suggestion of Comic youtube channels to watch but the only one not listed I can think of is Strange Brain Parts.

Had a real blast with it.

Comic Tropes is fun. His video about his time as an "actual" superhero is interesting. He touches on his connection to the most infamous real-life "superhero", but doesn't harp on that, which is fine since there's plenty of videos about Phoenix Jones and his chaotic behavior.

Yeah, like, I get he wants to open himself to more stuff but it can’t then be a surprise to people he’s so behind if he’s reviewing stuff that’s more extensive and/or more likely to get copyright claimed than his usual stuff.

Here's his latest video for Marvelman Family's Finest #1. There's some brief WWE footage so I'm just gonna link it instead of imbedding it - www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9ndoaWJGM4

He needs to set some harder rules about those Patreon requests. Limit them exclusively to comic books because 9 times out of ten the videos he does about anything else either gets copy claimed or is just complete crap.

Linkara has emerged from his hole and apparently has not seen his shadow, so we get a review! And while it's technically an intercompany crossover with Dark Horse, we also return to the glory days of DC Comics - the 1990's.
Next time is another Patreon, and sadly it looks like it will once again be another Patreon review that's neither a comic nor has anything to do with comics as he's reviewing the first Ace Attorney game.
