You know, it seems like a lot of people on these boards watch Linkara, but threads for his videos never seem to generate any traffic. I'm wondering if we shouldn't just create a continuous "Atop the Fourth Wall Megathread", similar to what we have for Nick Knacks, and see if that does any better.

Wish granted, dump any and all AT4W content here

Honestly, I might end up doing this stuff for some of the other people who come up but I'll see what happens next year with things.

My general attitude toward Linkara is that I watch him when I catch wind of him happening to have done something I'm interested in but that's increasingly less frequent. Don't even think I'm subscribed to him actually.

Honestly, I might end up doing this stuff for some of the other people who come up but I'll see what happens next year with things. I personally think it would be simpler and probably get the conversation to flow more frequently if we had continuous threads like this for a lot of online personalities like AVGN, Todd in the Shadows, Phelous and Allison, Defunctland, etc. There have been plenty of times where I've wanted to comment on something like a Toy Galaxy video but felt awkward starting up a thread for it and didn't know where else to go with it. But these aren't my boards so who am I to say.

I'll test it out for Allison, actually, since she has a new video up.

Honestly, I've lost a fair bit of respect for Linkara over his disdain for Oneyplays.
When freaking Chris-Chan of all people can take a joke better than you, you have a problem.

I appreciated that he finally bothered to cover recent Spider-Man again, albeit only on twitter, when he caught wind that Nick Spencer had retconned Sins Past, which he had recently reviewed in a video series.
The Kindred saga would make a great video in itself, especially if it had restored the spider-marriage and not just hinted that it'll be back.

I'm not familiar with Oneyplays but Linkara does seem very thin-skinned and like he can't really separate criticism from people's reactions to that criticism, the way he was attacking Ralphthemoviemaker for basically just riffing on his movie and blaming him for fan harassment even though nothing in the video said anything of the sort and actually brought up that by all accounts it was a better shoot than the ones Doug did.

I'm still a fan of Linkara. I don't watch his main show very often but HOPR is great and I always like his retrospectives like Titans and Blue Beetle.

Since I asked for this thread, I probably should be helping to update it -

While they're still there I've noticed he's cut WAAAY back on the fanfiction skit stuff over the last couple years. Probably for the best, it was easily the worst part of his show.

All the Tandy Computer Whiz Kids comic reviews in one video! I love these comics and his reviews of them are very funny.

From what I understand he just doesn't have the time for them lately. I think he still has footage for his "Tournament of Champions" story that hasn't been used yet that he filmed so far back it still features Tamara Chambers.

Apparently Linkara felt the subject matter of his original choice of Sleigher: The Heavy Metal Santa was a bit too controversial for a review. For those wondering, and I'm spoilering this so as not to offend anybody - {Spoiler}The villan of its first story is a pedophile priest.

I actually found the reason and story behind #1 really fascinating.

Smartest thing Lewis did was put a lot of that at the end of the videos for those who did want to stick around for the storyline stuff. I was not one of them and always found them too jarring to have after a 20 minute review of something else.
