Lol. Maryse discussed her first meeting with The Miz on WrestleTalk TV: "He was so mean to me. Oh my God. I couldn’t speak English, and he was rubbing it in my face. He was just like, ‘You can’t speak English. What are you doing here? You can’t work with the biggest sports entertainment company in the world if you don’t speak a word of English," Maryse said (h/t Bustle). The Miz on seeing Maryse for the first time: “I’ll never forget the first time she walked into the room, just stunning, drop dead gorgeous, but couldn’t speak any English whatsoever.” I don't remember if they gave that much in the way of details, but it reminds me of Cody and Brandi, where Cody's first impression apparently came off arrogant, with a quick apology and date set like right away. First impressions aren't everything, sometimes. Miz and Maryse went a little slower, they didn't start dating until like a year after they met.

A lot of French Canadians completely lose their accent once they are speaking English more then their native language. I have friends who grew up in Quebec then moved here to Ontario. You'd never know when speaking to them. Most of the French Canadians in wrestling, I never hear an accent. Aside from Maryse. Owens, 2.0, dark order, Sami zayn

I think her accent has just kinda faded. Kevin Owens accent was much more noticeable in his younger days, but it has disappeared a lot over time. It's funny... i knew he was from Quebec but I never noticed any kind of French Canadian accent until I had him on a Talk is Jericho episode a couple (few?) years ago. It was really heavy in that episode for whatever reason. I still barely notice it when I hear him talk in WWE.

I think Miz fell for her right then and there and I understand why.

Triple H was French once upon a time, was wasn't he? No. In French the letter H is silent, so he would just be called Triple.
