Add me to the list of people who got fraudulent charges on my CC.

They tried using one of my cards that I don’t use to buy crypto with so my card company caught it and sent me an instant text about it so I canceled that card at the time and thought it was suspicious and was wondering where the hack had came from. Now after reading the letter I got in the mail and then saying user’s information was not used has me totally about to say f*** em for good cause that’s some straight shady bullshit there.

I was lucky enough that whoever got my cc number tried to charge $0.10 and my credit card company marked it as fraud right away and froze my card. Just got my letter today.

As someone who works with checkcard disputes and fraud, this doesn't really surprise me. Fraudsters are moving towards online retailers, since chip cards are making it near impossible to counterfeit cards. It does take a bit for the investigation to complete, and to confirm all the information of the breach. Plus, a lot of companies don't say that they've been breached.
I've worked hundreds of CAMS (Compromised Account Management System) Lists from Visa over 8+ years at my job, and I'm sure that less than 30% of the lists stated who was breached. And even if you figure out who was hit, you can't go out and tell everyone. Because if it isn't them, you could get hit with a nasty libel suit.
I'm not throwing a bone for PWTees either, though. In this day and age, you should have the security to make sure you don't get compromised in your system. Also, don't click on anything suspicious.

I got the letter today. Fortunately, having dealt with my card being taken for a ride about 10 years ago, I've gotten into the habit of immediately deleting my payment info from sites as soon as I use it.
Also, the fact that they didn't send out an email at all about this is amateur as all hell.

The only time I've used PWTees wasduring the CM Punk shirt debacle and I never bothered again once I got my refund. I never save my card details on websites and have changed my card number since then, so should be fine. Still makes me very uncomfortable though.
How they've handled it is disgraceful however. I personally couldn't trust them to make an order through their website again.

I wouldn’t even call it amateur, it’s scummy as hell. They just didn’t wanna lose out on holiday sales.

I used PayPal when I purchased a shirt in November, I haven't had any issues yet.

I've used AEW Global and haven't had any issues. Like others have said, I remove my card details on every site.
Thanks for this thread though and bringing it to people's attention. Horrifying to see so many of you have had fraud charges since. That's really shoddy business.

I am pretty tempted to tip off a few security reporters on this, TBH. This is inexcusable and they need to answer for it. Why only snail mail? Why claim nobody's been affected when it seems like there are hundreds of folks that have been taken for $$$? Just wrong.

After a small scare with being locked out of my bank account last night (which was just a weird glitch with the bank's online banking system and had nothing to do with this), I decided to just get ahead of any potential threat and cancelled my debit card and ordered a new one. Fortunately, looking over my history, there were no weird charges or anything. But I was already a victim of identity theft back in 2013 and while it will be annoying to be without a card for a week or two, I did it out of an abundance of caution.
I told the bank manager who helped me get everything squared away about the PWTees breach and she said "Yeah, never shop there again."

I think I may have to get a new card myself. I ordered the dancing Sami Zayn shirt from there back in April, but that was with PayPal and with a debit card that expired before this breach happened. But, since then I have ordered the All Elite Crate with the new card, and I couldn’t do PayPal with that, and because it’s under the same One Hour Tees/Creative Ventures umbrella there could be shared databases and whatnot and I don’t think I can chance it even if I’ve had no irregular transactions.

I still see wrestlers encouraging people to buy their shirts off of there, and I get it's a source of income, but boy, that is poorly timed.

AEW needs a new t-shirt partner. Is there not a way for them to make their own online merch store without PWTees?

AEW needs a new t-shirt partner. Is there not a way for them to make their own online merch store without PWTees? I'm sure they can. It's a lot of start up costs I imagine so it was always financially easier to use PWTees which already had a base of operations for them to use. And that was especially the case when they first started and the revenue streams were lower with the original TNT deal. It might be easier to do now but I'm not sure it would be worth it to them, even with this issue. I know I've just decided to buy shirts at live events but not everyone can do that. I've always wondered if they should just buy PWTees if they're willing to sell and then just expanding the existing operations. But regardless, they might launch their own system after they get their new TV deal which should increase their revenue dramatically.
