We all know we’re putting way much effort into explaining it then WWE will, right?
Like, it’s a great sentiment and I dig some of the responses but this is barely going to be mentioned again outside of clips for the match video package and we all know it.

There's also a big problem with the perspective continuity going on here; it's 'supposed to be' from Liv's perspective, but we're also getting cuts to angles that definitely aren't hers, and the actual action she takes of getting into the ring is totally lost here, with her going from watching stuff at ringside to a few new angles to Liv suddenly standing there. I see the intention but it super doesn't work from an actual direction standpoint at all, they've spliced in multiple perspective shots but then also failed to show what the perspective character is doing, which is jarring and really, really basic. Rather than changing perspective at a suspenseful and dramatic time to show Liv's arrival, they go back and forth where it doesn't matter and then omit her most important action. Like it's nonsense from a narrative perspective, obviously. But in terms of actual visual language, it's complete amateur hour. Why are we getting Liv's POV anyway? This isn't a Hollywood (or even Hallmark) movie or a traditional TV show. It's a wrestling program.

She's clearly well liked and pretty over. Not as much as Becky but nobody is as over Becky so that's nothing to hold against her. Eh she doesn't get big reactions on RAW when she's on TV. And that's not a knock on her. Toni's in the same boat on SmackDown. They just aren't seen as stars. and the one newcomer-ish woman that people do/did see as a star gets a distraction loss in a minute to zelina after repeatedly failing against charlotte. i'm talking about rhea.

I wonder how long Becky has employed a double on the off chance this would happen? The double would need the occasional break so maybe there's also a double of the double so there's always double doubles available. Can you order those Animal Style off the secret menu?

Someone pointed out that they know how to do this because of what happened around in 2019 with Batista.
Dude dragged the cameraman to Flair’s locker room to show that he killed him and called out HHH. It made him look like a beast but also determined to send a message.
Even just having Liv be in front of the camera saying “It’s here, I’m sure of it” would have been a bit more quality control than they did here.

Vince: This is not wrestling, but an slightly sport driven entertainment vehicle that's building up to a moment via the momentum built upon our story.

Or even better, just have somebody at Becky's class filming her lesson, but they just happen to catch a glimpse of Liv showing up to beat the shit out of Becky.

Even just having Liv be in front of the camera saying “It’s here, I’m sure of it” would have been a bit more quality control than they did here. And conversely, there was a segment on NXT during the Cole/O'Reilly feud where Cole attacked Kyle at the gym he was training at where they used 'security camera footage', which they accomplished by putting a video with washed out colour, 'this is a security camera' smear lines, a date and timestamp, and the words "SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE" in the bottom corner. It was only shot from vantage points one would reasonably expect a security camera to be, high up and looking from a downward angle. I doubt it was real security camera footage, but they dolled it up with the most basic visual components to make it look that way, and whatever people thought about the segment, it didn't fail in conveying that it was shot on a security camera in a place. So they know how to do this in multiple directions. They chose neither of them to do uhhh whatever the hell this was.

The only bit about this that bugs me is that static camera just randomly watching Batista drag this camera man IMO would have been better if we cut to the camera man beig dragged's POV instead. Kills me that wrestling is still this amateurish though when it comes especially to pre-tapes like this. I cannot wait for the explanation tonight....which will ammount to Corey Graves yelling about how Becky is so far ahead of Liv intelligence she can already predict what Liv is going to do weeks from now.

Between the first person POV and the teleporting I'm now convinced Liv is Jason Voorhees.

My headcanon is that the people in production were aware of what was going on so the second cameraman was told to keep a distance and film events so then that guy doesn’t get attacked either.

This was bad. Just bad all around. Made Liv look like an idiot, why does Becky have a "training double?" She had no inkling that Liv was showing up that day. They're literally doing 50/50 backstage segments now. They can't help themselves.

WWE has such a weird tendency to make things complicated. The idea of Liv coming to Becky's dojo if you will and attacking her as revenge for Monday is totally fine. Straightforward and simple angle. But then they need to use their "professional production style" and have a random body double for absolutely no reason. Like, this isn't that hard. WWE is all about making things look so spiffy that they miss the forest from the trees. Do we need random cutaways when we could have just had the one consistent camera follow the action? Combine this with their obsession with "getting heat" nowadays that, even in a random social media drop, the heroine can't get an advantage makes this a waste of time.

Whoever pitched this definitely went “but then it’s not Becky!” and gave the Jerry Lawler head nod from when he told Bad News Barrett he wouldn’t be around next week.

Let's kayfabe it:
1. Becky has a training session set up at "the local medical facility training grounds." Cameras present to film the session 2. It's a ruse! Becky leaked the info to Liv to lure her there, set up the body double, etc. 3. Liv takes the bait, because she's a face (read:gullible and dumb) and goes there to Kendo smack some lass ass. 4. Becky, in her cocky heel-arrogance, doen't want the (paid) on-lookers to help her. She can easily beat up a one-armed loser like Liv! 5. Pow! Biff! Aouch! Smack! Ka-Blammo! 6. Oh, no! Liv gains the upper hand! 7. Becky escapes and is "held back" as the rest of scene plays out as it did.
The End
Maybe there's a reason I don't write for Hollywood...

0:56 second mark marks pure marksmanship as Becky "William Tell" Lynch destroys that invisible apple on Liv Morgan's head. Never in my LIFE have I seen such a performance.
