Probably was my NES… But the one I remember being the biggest surprise. I got a N64 for Christmas in 96. Had not been able to find one and wanted one bad. Somehow my parents ended up getting me one with Mario 64 and wave race 64. No one else I knew got one. I was so stoked

I got a Gameboy Advance SP the Christmas after my father passed away. We were pretty poor and I knew it so it meant so much to me that my Mom managed to make that happen.

I can only define best based on what gift first sprang to mind when I read the thread title. And it would be the Star Trek Starfleet Academy PC game. I can't remember what holiday I got it for, but I loved it, and played the ever loving hell out of it. I wish it would be rereleased, along with the Klingon Academy sequel I never got to play.

My VHS player. Kids today would have no concept of how life-changing it was to able to watch my videos in my own bedroom whenever I wanted and not have to find time to use the family VHS player.
