Cody winning the belt on Christmas to what I presume will be a mountain of boos from the crowd is going to be an astounding sight
Sammy might need time off, he's seperating from his girlfriend and dealing with a ton of online bullshit, not sure if it factored in but it wouldn't shock me.
Cody having the belt again is certainly gonna be a headache here since so many can't stand him right now. My hope is that it's not a long reign or it builds more to a heel turn. Sounds to me like he's gonna be going through Top Team first though.

Cody's character arc over the past few months has been so confusing to chart.
- Malakai squashes him. - He tries to retire, Malakai kills him some more. - Cody sits on his ass for awhile while Malakai beats up his friends and family. - Threatening Rosario Dawson is a bridge too far and Cody returns. - Cody loses to Malakai via spit in the face. - Arn tells Cody to get his shit together. - Cody beats Malakai after a clusterf*** basically via fluke. - Cody loses to Andrade. - Cody wins a match match. - Cody loses a tag match. - Cody beats Andrade. - Cody's champion now.
So... I guess beating Andrade, who had very little to do with his crisis of confidence, was enough for Cody to get back on track?

I'd like to know the finish. Was it 100% clean?

Of the "four pillars", Sammy's really gotten the rawest deal. Being in the Inner Circle looked good for him at first, then it degenerated into him being lost in the shuffle as one of Jericho's sidekicks, then he won the TNT title out of nowhere, but spent his reign doing nothing but continuing to be lost in the shuffle as one of Jericho's sidekicks. Anyway, I hope Cody has Brandi come out and tearfully hug him while red and green confetti rains down on the ring right after the win, then cuts a sobbing promo thanking Dusty, Arn, and all the fans who stood by him in these troubled times. It'll make everyone loathe him way more than if he does a conventional heeling schtick. Weird to say he got a raw deal when in the end he had maybe the best year of his career so far. He won Stadium Stampede 2 for his team, he beat Miro for the TNT title, and he barely lost any matches For that to be considered a raw deal is quite amazing to me, the guy imo couldn't have been more protected this year if they tried. This is his first loss since July, and that wasn't a clean loss either!

I'd like to know the finish. Was it 100% clean? Sounds like, pieced the results together from posts on Twitter but saw it described as a very good match that Cody won after multiple Cross Rhodes. Video floating around of him celebrating with the Nightmare Family, loooot of booing.

I'm not sure how anyone can be surprised by that result.
Sammy has been a meh TNT champion.

I'd like to know the finish. Was it 100% clean? This is a good point, because I assume Men of the Year would be a part of the follow given the promo we saw on Dynamite.

A Cody vs Men Of The Year feud that we're probably getting after this does nothing for me

I'm not sure how anyone can be surprised by that result. Sammy has been a meh TNT champion. Darby was also very meh and then his reign heated up. Sammy's just never got there.

This is his first loss since JulyI think there's a difference between being booked strong and being booked like you matter and Sammy really hasn't been that. Most of the time he's just been there as Jericho's friend, not a lot else to it, and his title win over Miro was very abrupt then he did very little with the belt afterward. I do definitely think he's positioned as the least important of the four regardless of being protected or being champion, if only because he seems to get the least TV time, a lot of the TV time he does get it is just as Jericho's friend, and it's not like his title win was some built up to huge moment that was universally warmly received.

Given the end end of the match was Cody delivering multiple Cross-Rhodes to win, he was protected heavily regardless. But it wouldn't shock me if they interfered to make it even more so

Sometimees a shock title win is fine though, and a lot of people really liked that he won. It might be a combo of injuries and personal life, but I also dont mind Sammy being less featured on TV because it made it more special when he did and does wrestle. He got large pops every time he showed up. It was working. I've always seen Sammy more as "Jericho's Friend", the guy has been labeled damn near the heart of the Inner Circle and the fact he beat Miro showed he can beat higher tier talent. His TNT Title match streak was impressive and he beat a ton of different and tough opponents in the process. I guess I want to see where it continues to go for him, especially since it seems he's moving more away from the Inner Circle and more into his own thing again.

Didn't like Sammy beating Miro. Didn't like Sammy's reign with the belt. Didn't like Sammy in general with his "use bitch, repeat" mic skills.
I have mixed feelings about Cody, but I'll call this a win and await the next phase. A Cody/Sky or Cody/Ethan match is meh, but hey, maybe he'll finally turn heel or lose it to someone fun.
Also, reading reports it sounds like he used the Pedigree at one point, in addition to the Tiger Driver '98. So there's another item worthy of discussion.
