Doing a quick Google search I've discovered that the concept of 60 minutes in an hour (and 60 seconds in a minute) apparently dates all the wa back to the Sumerians around 3500 BC, which pre-dates the Christian concept of the "number of the beast" by several millennia. So it seems unlikely.

Time is an illusion. The only time is party time.

Are mathmatics a man made concept or was it discovered?
I say discovered. Other animals understand addition, subtraction, division, and multipication.

I’ve actually been thinking a lot about the passage of time and how it’s measured. Mostly pertaining to things that we can’t talk about, here. I’ll just say that I’ve been trying to reconcile how I was raised with how I feel, now. And whether these things could possibly co-exist. I know I’m not alone in saying that these past couple of years have been extremely challenging. And I’d be lying if I said said that I’m not looking for something to hold onto.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, I personally believe there's something out there but humans diluted the truth about it over time (no pun intended but I'll gladly take it) to suit their own wants and needs. Truly believing in something is way more important than the details of how you show that belief.

I just got done reading a couple books about time in various forms. The Italian physicist Carlo Rovelli has some great books on the topic, and are very approachable for laymen. Here is his TED talk, m.youtube.com/watch?v=xeHHjGKwZWM&t=85sHe breaks down the concept of time strictly from a scientific point of view, but has an incredibly eloquent way of describing things. Remember that all our clocks are not actually measuring "time". They are measuring the swing of a pendulum or the vibration of a quartz crystal or the decay of a radioactive isotope.

Once Andrew W.K. covers an MC Hammer song, Party Time and Hammer Time will be the same thing.
