...meaning, as per the well-known fan theory, that the Flintstones are what live on the ground of the Jetsons' futuristic communities. Which explains how, although living like cavemen, they are aware of modern pop culture and gadgets (which they must repurpose the "prehistoric" animals into).
Anyway, if this theory is true...then why/how did the denizens of Bedrock and the like get banned from the Jetsons' society? Or are they just a race of feral humanoids born on the ground somehow, who don't know of the Jetsons World at all?
For that matter, if they do know about the modern world, then why repurpose everyone's names to have some rock or stone pun? Is this some statement against the powers that be?
And what are the dinosaurs? Some Jurassic Park type experiment gone wrong?

They aren't both in the future.
The Jetsons and Flintstones have met, and they did so via time travel.

A time traveler has to fight off the Bedrockians with the lever from his machine.

The Flintstones live on the barren wastes, left behind on a devastated Earth after the bombs fell. The Jetsons were among the lucky ones who escaped to the stars.

Jetsons and those in the sky have money.
Flintstones and those in Bedrock are still waiting for the trickledown.

What if there was really no time travel, and Elroy's machine just dropped the family to the ground where they met savage, er, prehistoric humans? Thankfully Elroy's second attempt at time travel worked so the Jetsons were able to go back into the past to recruit Roman Reigns, Seamus, Seth Rollins et al to save the future world from the tyrannical dictatorship of The Big Show. (Yeah that's all canon BTW)
