Looks like I got my weeks mixed up, as I did an Akira Kurosawa film, which was Yojimbo.
However, earlier this year I did watch a romcom, so I could say it counts, even they aren't in the right weeks. It was Chasing Liberty.
However, when the time comes to do an Akira Kurosawa film, I could do another. It won't bother me. Or I could have Yojimbo be my pick, because Rashomon was for pre-1960s.

I once watched a movie I hadn’t seen before every day for the entire year (in a leap year) and it made me hate movies for 3 years and forget almost everything I’d seen. And on top of it I changed jobs while working both for two months in the middle of it.
If anyone wants to take that challenge in 2023 hit me up.
