I've dislocated my kneecap a couple of times and I can tell you, I've never experienced any pain that even comes close. First time, I immediately blacked out and immediately woke up again to notice that my ligaments are still way too tight to let the kneecap lose again. So I had to wait and scream till the ligaments gave way. No tear, no break, but the ligaments were losened and I was too young for surgery. There's no telling if a broken bone is better or worse than damage to the ligaments and the joints, but both can screw with your body permanently.

Right now, my biggest concern is the UCL for Fenix. If that has any serious damage, especially if he needs Tommy Johns surgery, he'll be out for months. It's not as severe as for a baseball pitcher, where that'd put him on the shelf for at least a year. But the recuperation will be long.
I wonder if Jurassic Express winning was the planned result or if Fenix's injury made them call an audible.

I think JE was always the plan, and Lucha Bros would feud with Malakai and Brody King.

If he's only out a few WEEKS from that horrific moment I don't even have words for how lucky Fenix is.

Yeah you know what that tracks for Fenix. I don't know how but sure let his arm do that and him just need a few weeks and a sling to get better.

I hope hey give him a little more rest than just a few weeks. But it is a relief to see someone who’s injury looked career ending to being back in a few weeks. The dude is not human.

Relieved to hear it's only a dislocation, terrifying as it looked.
Also, time to fess up, Rey, what kind of time-traveling invincible cyborg are you, exactly?

In English, from the man himself.
He really isn't human.

Rey Fenix is certainly living up to the "Fenix" part of his moniker. Crazy.

AEW has gotten lucky so far and not have any serious injuries.
Can this be the wake up call they need to stop with the unnecessary risky spots, weapons and furniture in matches or st least save them for big events?
Wishing Rey a fast recovery.

To my eternal gratitude the injury completely escaped my attention during the match as well as the replay. That most likely comes down to me being so focused on how lucky Luchasaurus was the broken table did not lacerate his stomach.

Hope when Fenix returns he gets the big pop, dude deserves it, that was a damn near Sid level looking injury and he might be back by the f***ing Revolution PPV with that diagnosis...
Hope we see Penta tear it up in his absence, if PAC can come back or if they get Penta a reserve partner even, quite a few new luchadores are free...

The injury that Rey had could have happened on a regular chokeslam spot or a chokeslam off the top rope, it was just a freak thing. Not sure it was particularly unsafe.
