I like that the first was Bryan out wrestling Hangman (or trying to) and this one was just him trying to beat the shit out of him. Nice story to me.

Danielson saw that he couldn't just outlast Hangman and figured he had to beat the shit out of him. Great stuff.

So much to love about this one: -How different it was in style than the first match -Hangman saying he was gonna go faster and harsher to avoid another draw in prematch promos then actually wrestling that style -All the moveset storytelling like Bryan using all his Dark Order killing moves, as well as Silver's leglock that injured Bryan -Bryan getting comeuppance for brutalizing the Dark Order by getting brutalized by Hangman -Cementing Hangman as champion rather than doing the "Face takes long journey to win title then shockingly loses it instantly to a new monster" trope -Starting AEW's TBS run with that match

Awesome match, though kind of disappointed they didn't just do the title switch with the judges since this has been a very fun feud and I can't really think of anyone else I particularly want to see Hangman fighting right now as champion anyway so kind of would've been fine with just having a quick Bryan run to get to a third match where Hangman beats him for real. But whatever, still a great time and I like how different it felt from the first match.

Loved it, loved how different it felt from the first one. These guys have insane chemistry and they can just GO, it ruled and what a great way to potentially introduce new fans to your product
The amount of bangers Bryan has come to AEW and thrown also can't be overstated. This dude has really reminded people he might be one of the best to ever do this. I'm humbled to witness it in real time.

They went to war. I loved it, personally, more than the draw (..though that may be objectively the better match?? iono).
One of the best AEW title bouts, if not the best. It helps his dance partners have been Kenny “By God” Omega & Bryan f***ing Danielson but Hangman’s reign has already been great match-rate wise.

Another brilliant match with the right guy going over. To me, these two matches with Bryan has really put Page’s title run on the map so to speak.

Page legitimizes his reign and showed it wasn't a fluke

If I had to guess, I’d say one of the judges will have scored Danielson higher than Page and Danielson will use that to further cement his douche heel turn ‘Jerry Lynn scored me higher so really that’s all that matters’ or something like that.

There is a serious argument for Bryan as the greatest of all time. For me he's leagues above any of his peers who are considered GOAT and continues to have classics in all companies, all styles of wrestling, all match types and with all kinds of opponents. The exceptions are those he never wrestled with such as Bret or Savage.

Probably the best AEW match of all time

Two things I said I'm the Dynamite feud.
1)I think this was even better than their first match
2)While Danielson is reminding people why he is one of the best of all time, Page is proving that he is the true Ace of AEW

I need to watch it again because of tiredness this morning but I really did like it a lot in how, as mentioned, the first one was them out lasting each other and surviving and this one was just a glorious bloody brawl that had a definitive end. I might like their first match better but the gap between the two is nowhere near small.

I love that this match is the culmination of the feud, with each Dark Order match having led to this, with callbacks. Also details like Hangman getting out of the LeBell Lock because Bryan lost his grip because Hangman was slick with blood, something I'm surprised the commentators missed, or maybe I am misinterpreting how Bryan lost the hold.
I do wonder what's next. Bryan lost, dead to rights, in the middle of the ring. Maybe he'll try to cite judge scores, or maybe he'll take it out on someone. It's also not impossible that he takes a bit of time off to recuperate given the blood loss, and just to sell his defeat.

Not to turn this into another WWE vs AEW thread, because that's not my intention, but this is why one company can build a babyface champion and the other one just putzed away Big E.

I think Danielson takes a hot second off and comes back in a feud with a heel. Bodyslam, which had the Danielson news first, is saying Mox's return is imminent, so I could see them going back to Mox/Hangman. GCW's got their Hammerstein show in two weeks and they just had a match to set up the #1 contender for their belt, which is held by Mox, so it seems to support that theory.

I think the issue as well is too many times WWE wants moments. Then after that moment they don't have a plan. Now I do think AEW has some issues of stretching things out a bit too much (nobody is perfect) but they keep the title feuds about the title and proving who is best so sometimes they can be lacking as well

Hangman/Danielson II was so, so good that it's made me retract my complaint about the first match ending in a draw. This was a perfect continuation and expansion of their first match; I think I might even take some time this weekend and watch both back-to-back (thank you DVR).
