I think a lot of us were anticipating a heel turn last night or sometime soon with Christian turning on Jungle Boy. But he did what he promised and led them to the tag titles. What do you think is next? Just being a face veteran supporting his boys or is this just a slow burn to something heelish down the line?

I think if they had him cheat for them last night you might be moving to the endgame and the Jungle Boy/Christian match too soon. Think they'll have a little success first before cracks show.

What if he turned the lights out near the end of the tag title match to help JE win 🤔 😳

I'm at the point where I'm not gonna really expect a heel turn (outside of joking about it) until AEW really on screen sets it up. They aren't the types to do lots of shock heel turns, it'll be pretty telegraphed like the kind of anime twist where the narrator all but says "IN THE NEXT EPISODE OF AEW DYNAMITE, JUNGLE BOY AND LUCHASAURUS FACE A MASSIVE BETRAYAL"
So far narratively it's been played pretty straight that Jungle Boy earned Christian's respect, so he partnered up with JE to face the Elite then help them level up to tag title level.

What if he turned the lights out near the end of the tag title match to help JE win 🤔 😳 Wait a minute... "Now you're more than a King" ...it was a reference to Christian losing the King of the Ring semi-final in 2001 and Edge winning over him! At last, he was on his own but now he as a family! It all makes sense now! ...or I'm way other thinking it, your pick.

I'm not basing this on specific instances I can remember, but it really feels like Christian has been in this situation pretty often, where it seems like they're definitely setting him up to turn heel and then he doesn't. Works for the dude.

Christian insisting on utilizing the Freebird Rule to effectively make himself a glorified tag champion without having actually won it himself could be a fun slow burn heel turn.

Same thing hes been doing since he got to AEW. He's going to find "The Book" in TK's office and cross out the name Marko Stunt and write Christian.

Driving a wedge between Jurassic Express, but not clear if deliberate or inadvertent.
Jungle Boy getting all the focus has to come into play eventually. Do dinosaurs get jealous?
