The big thing I got from this was that apparently WWE was trying to get every successful former child actor to consult on their shows? Do they still call Jonathan Taylor Thomas for consultancy ideas after his appearance at WrestleMania 13? He's from "Hollywood" and likes their product. WWE is nothing but a group of star f***ers, TBH. If Richard Karn of Home Improvement liked WWE, they'd be calling him for ideas. Don't get my hopes if if AL BORLAND booked WWE. MY GOODNESS. That's a WWE lifetime network subscription.

Damn, you know they've lost their senses when they won't listen to the guy who created plans to stop the Wet Bandits when he was 8 years old. He's a genius. Dude dated Mila Kunis for years and married Brenda Song. Guy would instantly be the smartest person in that entire company. Marrying a woman of Asian decent is probably why Vince wouldn’t hire him. JR had to explain to Vince there are men on planet Earth who find Asian women attractive.

Culkin knows what it's like to see the same thing done over and over again until it's run into the ground and people loathe it... he's seen every Home Alone after 2.

So yeah, you don’t have this rich variety that you might have had before, but even then, man, it’s like how many times can we watch the same match over again?” He just noticed this now? Can we get Usos vs. New Day graphics like this one?

Macaulay was AT Wrestlemania VII and was only shown in a small bit where a camera man must have recognized him. I think that goes to show how out of the loop Vince McMahon is. He was probably too busy getting ready for a stupid throwaway segment that didn't even make the home video on the instant reply.
Instead of having Macaulay just a few months fresh off a major movie doing a skit, Vince had Gene Okerlund interviewing four celebrities who weren't even relevant at the time. And I'm not talking about the three guests but rather four celebrities in the crowd whose interviews took over Greg Valentine's awesome theme entrance. I'm not surprised in the least Vince didn't know who Macaulay was but with Freddie Prinze, Vince probably knew of the Chico and the Man show Freddie's father did.

Thing is, WWE probably could get away with selling the same matches in a row if the writing was even half decent. Like what is Lesnar and Reigns feud even about. They just want the belt, or something, there's nothing deeper than that. In the Attitude Era the most successful feuds had cultural messages built into them, such as the middle class vs. the upper class. But the characters now are so flat, you can't get anything deeper than the surface level. Even when we got stuff like Seth Rollins developing a god complex, his feuds were the exact same trite they were before. There's just nothing interesting to latch on to.

The Lesnar-Reigns feud is the wrong one to pick for this point. It’s been a well-written, nuanced feud involving Heyman and both men’s history with him. It’s the best actual storyline they have going.

It’s the best actual storyline they have going. That's not the defence you think it is. Sure, imo it’s probably the best storyline in mainstream wrestling going right now (Raw, Smackdown, NXT, AEW). Point was though that it isn’t just them fighting over the belt as you said with no story.

Yes, THIS TIME Roman vs. Brock. has been about Heyman.
but this is also the like 17th time we've seen Brock vs. Roman, and yeah it's been mostly just about them wanting the belt.

What's weird about it is I think Vince actually knew who Kevin was which is hard to believe considering how in his own little world he apparently is and not really being aware of anything going on in the real world outside his business. Reason I say that is when the camera cuts to Kevin in the audience Gorilla clearly doesn't know who he is as makes some generic remark like "that youngster really enjoying himself" as if he was just some regular boy in the crowd. Then after like ten seconds of dead air he then goes "well I don't think he wants to be Home Alone with the Nasty Boys". It seemed strange that Gorilla clearly didn't know he was initially but then made that Home Alone comment that made seem like he did. Makes me think that after he didn't recognize him Vince shouted in his headset to mention him.

In a vacuum, it's pretty understandable, but as part of the greater whole, it's symptomatic of major issues with the company.

I never thought Brock-Roman would be fresh and interesting again after how many times we saw it previously. But the dynamic and storyline they’ve created has been top-notch and made the match a draw again, so touché to them.
