m.youtube.com/watch?v=Zosp8ZSEa-EThis video is hysterical because what the guy is saying is so true. Take a look at the 7:35 where Goldberg does his flying shoulder block. It looked like he tripped. Haha!

Even as a kid, it was so unappealing to get a wrestling game that takes away the in-ring aspect. I’m just amazed some shit gets through development without someone going “ay. This a bad idea”.

I honestly never even thought Mayhem was all that good, but I only played Backstage Assault for the first time about a year ago and it made Mayhem look like the greatest game ever. All they needed to do was reskin Mayhem, maybe add in a new feature and it'd have been fine. I'm generally confused as to why Backstage Assault became a thing.

I was so excited for Mayhem, and after playing for about 30 minutes I felt so gutted and just went back to Fire Pro.

I will say that there are no games I loved more than Fire Pro G and Fire Pro D as a kid. Nothing was better, although I did enjoy playing Fire Pro Wrestling on GBA, too. Oddly enough, even though it's essentially the same game I don't have the same fondness for the newer Fire Pro.

Yeah I don't know why they went all in on the backstage concept but it does seem to perfectly suited to define the Russo era of WCW lol

I have spent many hours on Z, R, and World, but there was something about S that can never be duplicated, like losing one's Fire Pro virginity.
