There was a lot going on during last night's show, but I actually thought this was one of the better promo's Page has had in a while, Lambert did very well given the promo itself was focused and he didn't get too lost in his words and it was nice to see Archer.
Archer/Page should be a nice holdover title feud for Hangman. "Walking Facebook Profile" was a great line, too.

I was just thinking the other day "I wonder where Lance Archer is?"
Should be a good match, and it'll be very different from Danielson which I think is a smart move.

It's segments like this that really make me hate Lambert sometimes. This was a great promo from him, I thought. He used his persona as an old-school fan to run down Hangman while still putting him over and didn't resort to sexism or anything like it to get heat. Then he does promos like that Brandi one from a few weeks ago and it makes it look even worse because he really can be an asset to AEW, they just take the low road with him too much. Less stripper promos, more cowboy promos, please.
I'm glad to see Archer return. The jobbers in the back must be quaking in their boots and wondering who is going through a ceiling next.

That was a good segment. Archer is the perfect, credible challenger for Hangman to beat to solidify his reign, and Lambert’s grouchy boomer character is the perfect foil for angsty millennial cowboy Hangman.

The gimmick/persona shit can go right out the window imo wasn't needed to piggyback Cornette and last questioning pages Virginia heritage.
What was good however, was Lambert using COMMON SENSE to Jedi mind tricks the big man, now THAT of love more of, and Page is a great seller.

Lambert as the Kentucky Tennis Enthusiast is literally my biggest complaint with AEW.
BUT, that said, that segment last night was pretty good and got the job done.

Lambert & Page play off of each other very, very well. At least last night.
Page has had nothing but classics since winning the title. I hope his match with Archer is a good/crazy one.

Was a good segment, and I'm looking forward to Page/Archer, but god damn was Page lucky cause that Blackout onto the chair seemed like it was very very close to being a disaster for him.

Segment itself didn't really do anything for me, even when he's supposedly good I just find Lambert completely obnoxious in an, "I want to mute this," way, but am down for Archer as a filler challenger, kind of a perfect example of a semi-credible threat who can afford a loss and he has a fairly logical claim to a title shot given the circumstances of him losing in the tournament.

LAmbert has been misused imo, he shouldve been Archer manager the moment Jake went out with health issues, its so much better than being Men of the Year manager.
