This is a conversation I had with a friend last night...
Him: You know what move they've completely killed that I don't ever wanna see again?
Me: Superkick?
Him: No, but good answer lol
Me: Canadian Destroyer?
Him: YES! LMAO
So I'm going with option C. The Canadian Destroyer. Petey Williams used to hit this move ONE TIME, there weren't 4 or 5 every show performed by everybody from opening match guys to wrestlers over 50 using it as a transition spot that the guy taking it will completely no sell within seconds, it was a finish. Nowadays people in the second match get dropped on their head 13 times and keep kicking out. And people wonder why crowds are burnt out 90 minute into a 4 hour PPV. I'm looking at you AEW. 🤦♂️

I blame ECW for turning the DDT into a mundane transitional move. Watch a Raven/Dreamer match. Any Raven/Dreamer match. Take a drink whenever one of them kicks out of a DDT, or a DDT is used to transition to a new sequence involving a run-in. The piledriver was more dangerous at that stage and it was already a transitional move by 1995 lol
The Superkick only became a finisher when Michaels started using it as one. Before and after that, the move was transitional move.
As for the question, I say DDT. It used to be treated like death when Jake did it. Even when Foley used the double-arm version, it was treated like THE END. We need to go back to those days.
