You think it looks bad if you release him? But cutting over a hundred people in 2 years and constantly hearing stories of workers being unhappy is a good look?

You’re paying people’s flights and such to come and sit in catering or wrestle on the shows you won’t promote or sit at home and not be able to do much for themselves all because you’re scared they might do well somewhere else? If they do well somewhere else, you can bring them back as stars and help your product out a bit since you desperately need stars. If they don’t, well, you’ve saved several thousands of dollars. I don’t know what the real downside is besides ego. |

Given the type of wrestlers Vince favors presentation wise he probably worries about Ali and Jeff going to AEW close to each other more so than he ever did about Danielson and Punk.
He won’t push/release Ali for personal reasons, Saudi tweets, rejecting a Hassan type gimmick, quitting by Twitter, Retribution failure (harsh maybe The Rock, Foley or an at his peak Jericho could have got such a silly faction over, it’s certainly beyond most talents!). He is well aware of his talent and potential.

He definitely won't be "turning down" if that makes any sense. He's been vocal in the past so surely he'll be more vocal now. He's too good to be held back. Even his Twitter posts lately have been showing him wrestling.
