I'll start with Goldberg WCW 2000, it just felt forced as a heel. Anyone else?

Sting's WCW heel turn also sucked. His TNA run was slightly better but it also featured him as a second fiddle in his own group to the bigger heel in Kurt Angle. He would've just been better off as a face.

Thankfully it was short lived but Rey Mysterio never should have turned heel.

Shotzi. She's fallen so far from a year ago since the heel turn on Smackdown.

Naomi, she's a babyface through and through. Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy are forever faces in my book.

Jim Duggan. I'm not sure if he was a heel with Bill Watts but post WWF/WCW he should always be a face. I'm sure the Team Canada gimmick was a Russo idea just to create a few seconds controversy. Duggan is a legit real life good guy, he really can't play a "bad guy" and shouldn't be either.

The Rock n Roll Express.
I would also say the Fantastics, but I saw a middle aged, "balding with a gut" Bobby Fulton work heel and holy shit he was good.

He would've just been better off as a face. I kinda liked his role in the MEM as a reluctant heel, but he's never really been good at embracing being an outright villain.

Nah he was so great as the Model. I loved that gimmick so much. I know that his work in ring was better as a face but to me was so good as a heel especially during the Jake feud. Maily with the fake sincerity when he was apoligizing and saying it was an accident when he blinded him ("Jake from the bottom of my heart I'm really sorry"-takes glasses of and flashes a big smile) He really nailed it and the Model gimmick was a perfect fit for him as he was a real good looking guy and his French Canadian accent went with it perfectly. I know his in ring fell off a bit but he was still really good and his promos and character work improved substantially.

I'd rather watch Martel's ring work than his "character" work.

Martel is one of those rare guys who was just as good of a babyface as he was a heel.
Ricky Morton was def weird as a heel. Past putting his glam rock hair in a ponytail and changing his name to Richard, he didn't seem very invested in his role.
I'll nominate Crush. Guy had real potential as an upper tier babyface. His heel turn did nothing but get his ass beat by Macho Man and earn him stooge status.

Bret Hart's WCW return in 1999 after Owen's death. Who would want to boo him after all the struggles he was already going through?

Has Ricky Steamboat ever worked heel at all? Believe TNA attempted to turn him, I think.

Steve Austin. When he turned heel he was already in "nobody will ever boo you no matter how evil you are?" mode.

I'd rather watch Martel's ring work than his "character" work. That's fine. I enjoy good in ring work too but for me I like a good character with it. I just think he was a better overall performer and more of a complete package as a heel. Babyface Martel was awesome in ring but kind of bland to me.

His heel turn did nothing but get his ass beat by Macho Man and earn him stooge status. I really enjoyed babyface surfer dude Crush. I don't think he should've been the guy or anything but he really could've been a good upper midcard face for years. Then they just completely buried him with the Doink feud where he was just made to like such a doofus at every turn. Heel Crush was boring as they took all the things that were cool about him and then he lost the Macho Man feud which while I was fine with it as Macho is a legend and heel Crush was lame, it didn't make any sense in that they didn't have any plans for Savage as a wrestler as he went back to commentating full time afterwards until leaving at the end of the year. Crush was probably the #3 or #4 heel at that point so having him lose really didn't make any sense. Showed that they had no interest in making any kind credible contender as instead of trying to elevate him with a big win it wa used as kind of a last hurrah for Macho by having him beat some goon that bit off more then he chew by turning on him and picking a fight with him.
