As time goes on, do you think time will be kinder to the bubble/shortened sports seasons?
Will the Los Angeles Dodgers, Lakers, Lightning and Bucs titles all appreciate in time with all the effort of protocols to achieve the pinnacle of their sport?
Or are all the naysayers going to continue to rag on them saying the Dodgers won this in a 60 game season, Lakers got lucky in the NBA bubble, etc.......

NHL and NBA both had labor shortened seasons in the early 2010s, and we all but forgot about them by now.

I think the only one which might get a bad rep over time is MLB. The NFL at least was able to have a full schedule and the NBA and NHL regular seasons were almost over by the time the pandemic started. MLB was the one that was most effected I feel because they lost about half the season and the playoff structure was a lot different.
Though I don’t believe any champions should have asterisks or anything, because they all had to play in those strange conditions that were unique to anyone who ever played. I hope people would be understanding of the situation.

I don't think any title's should be asteriked since you could do that with every champion of every sport in every season if you were petty enough. But I think with the Lakers team people will always ask "what if" if Anthony Davis continues to have seasons where he breaks down int he playoffs/misses huge chunks of the year and many will attribute that title to the benefit of the league taking 4 months off.

If were going to putting asterisks on these Championship teams:
1918 - Boston Red Sox - Cubs believed to have thrown the World Series. 1919 - Cincinnati Reds - White Sox did the throw the series. 1969 - Texas Longhorns (Football) - Thanks to Nixon. 1970 - Texas Longhorns (Football) - Got blown out in their own back yard in the Cotton Bowl. 1990 - Colorado Buffaloes (Football) - The fifth down game plus Georgia Tech's resume was much better. 2002 - Los Angeles Lakers - Dick Bavetta. 2017 - Houston Astros - Sign stealing cheaters.

The average sports fan is just happy they got to see a season, period.
I'd wager it's a small majority that likes to hear themselves talk (shitheads looking for 'controversy') that thinks they are "lesser champions" for having won during a pandemic.

The only person I see getting the short end of the stick is LeBron James because his critics will always look for some hole or flaw to not respect the King

Yes it will because the former Washington redskins(now the commanders) won two Super Bowls in seasons where in 1982 the season was severely shorted and in 1987 there were not as many games lost but there were replacement players and I don’t think either Lombardi trophy is any different to the ones since 1970.

Dodgers and Lakers may not be looked at kindly in history. Dodgers for the shortened season, Lakers because of the lack of success (so far) outside of the bubble.
Lightning repeated so most will say they are validated and the NFL played a full season

I don't think anyone's going to care in the long-term. There have been plenty of shortened seasons (especially during lockouts or strikes) and their champions have always been seen as legitimate without any asterisks or anything. Shit just happens and the circumstances are often forgotten.
At most, some Dodgers and Lakers haters will hem and haw about it, but history in general will ignore them.
