For Collectors (of Anything) What Are Your Most Wanted Items

The only thing I really collect these days is DVDs/Blu-rays/Insert Video Format Here.

I can only justify it (in my head anyway) because I’m an online seller. So while I spend money on some movies, the goal is to make more on selling others.

Anyway, I finally broke down and bought Monsters (the 1988 to 1991 TV series) on DVD. I bought it used and it wasn’t exactly a great deal, but the best I’ve seen for it in about 2 years.

Before that I way overpaid for an original release of the Herschell Gordon Lewis Feast Blu-ray set. That’s part of the reason I held off on Monsters so long. Within months of getting that HGL set it was re-released by Arrow and you can get it for a fraction of what I paid. Although looking at the re-release I don’t think the two sets are exactly the same. Still, the content I really wanted is still on that set, so it made me feel like a bit of a knob.

I also collect out of print Criterion DVD/blurays .. if the price isn't insanely high and there are enough special features to justify the purchase

I collect dinosaur fossils.

I ticked off some of my most-wanted items -- an actual Dinosaur egg, last year. Spent ages wanting one, then I ended up getting 8 in a short span of time for lowish prices. I'll like sell some and get a profit.



Now, I would LOVE a Neovanator tooth.

There's a lot of Goosebumps stuff I still need. A lot of the stuff from the end of the first run is super hard to find. But of them, I'm still looking for the TV books and the Give Yourself Goosebumps special editions. I have two of the eight.

I also want to find the complete original runs of the first six books. The ones without the numbers on the spine. So far, I only have an OG release Say Cheese and Die! Could have gotten a Monster Blood with no number, but it was super beat up.

There's so many printing errors on US postage stamps that trying to get affordable ones is a bit of a challenge at times.

As far as anything involving dairy cattle genetics, I'm screwed in terms of finding anything from the 70s to mid-90s since most farmers chucked out outdated bull catalogs.

if I had the money, Fender Custom Shop is making 50 models of one of my favorite guitar players Terry Kath's telecaster, included is all the stickers he had on it which probably is why its 20 thousand bucks, well that and theres only 50 made...

Back in 2002 found a copy of that game at a local pawn shop. They wanted 5 bucks. Flipped it for 90 two days later.

Years later played a bootleg copy. Not a bad game but not even close to being worth what it sells for now. But then I never liked the Saturn.

Thought of another item I want. As a kid the only Super Powers figure I never got was teh Plastic man figure. Would love to have one to add to my Plastic Man collection. But even a loose figure is priced way higher than I am willing to pay.

I only collect wrestling items. Over 30 years of collecting I have amassed quite a collection of random items, tons of figures, magazines, and books.

For the past year though my main focus has been to collect as many of the old Coliseum Video/WWF Home Video VHS releases of the 80s and 90s.

Since getting back into it I have added over 80 new (to me) VHS to the collection!

Ok so i have a few collections at the moment. These are my main ones i wanna get finished.
I really wanna finish off my Fleer NBA 1994/95 card set. Its not expensive or anything just the year i got into basketball.
Im about 35/36 comics off finishing the 3rd series of the silver surfer 80's/90's run. Its mainly from 105 to 146 i need.
JAKKS classic superstars i need to get blue earthquake, Crush, Big Bossman and black suit Bret Hart and im done with that.

Id love to get The Stone Cold Steve Austin Jakks Classic Superstars with all the belts one day, but its just to fam expensive.

Also, all the of m.u.s.c.l.e men im like 20 to go.

All the ones thst you could buy yes, there are like 5 or 6 limited Ultimate Warriors that Jakks staff got, and i live in the UK so some con exclusive ones im missing but, main lines etc yes, tags and the 3 packs as well.
Most of them 80% are out of the boxes, some ive kept in cos i liked the look or there my guys!

Original late 80s metal Dragon Ogre from Warhammer - Because I'd love to paint one up, but at £75+ and rising I think it's unlikely.

I used to collect desiccants. I really don't know of anything someone could collect that would be more useless.
