TNA's numbers were as pitiful as their reputation suggests. AEW are easily outdrawing them. As did ECW.
I'm surprised 2002 was the biggest Royal Rumble. I thought it would have been one of the attitude era ones. By 2002 all the other main PPVs were down considerably from 2001 except the Rumble. I'm guessing HHH's return and rumors of the NWO coming in drew that massive number.
It's insane the effect Austin had on so many of the top ones. For the sake of simplicity I just listed the main events but his returns were a key selling points for Backlash/Unforgiven 2000. His first match back at No Mercy 2000 and his 3 stages of hell match with HHH at No Way Out 2001 were also arguably the biggest draws on those shows even if they didn't go on last.
