So, yeah. This may cause a bit of issues given that PROGRESS is affiliated with WWE and their shows end up on Peacock and the WWE Network. I mean, that may not be a big deal, but given that Ogogo has pretty much been dead in the water after that disastrous Cody feud which he was too green for anyway and several social media snafus, do you think it may be time for them to cut bait on him? Or am I just making mountains out of molehills and not reading the room.

Absolutely not. Ogogo had an injury sideline him for a majority of last year and is still a top prospect for them. I imagine he’s getting seasoning elsewhere and this is just an unfortunate coincidence.

Progress has recently changed ownership and with HHH being the one guy left in WWE who would care about the relationship, the WWE bond is done and PROGRESS desperately needs something to be relevant after the death of Britwres

He has literally had 11 matches in his entire career, and needs work before AEW features him again.

Ogogo travels back and forth from the UK to the States. This will be a good idea for getting reps in locally in between travelling to AEW.

Cody has also come out and said he wishes that they handled that feud better and took full responsibility for it being a dud. Progress (if they have turned over a new leaf under ownership) is a good place for Ogogo to build his wrestling wrestling up... cause even if the landscape since May and with changes upcoming he needs a place outside of AEW to develop a bit

Cody Rhodes shipped that LIMEY LOYALIST & REDCOAT across the pond in a riveting long-escalating simmering feud between US & UK!!!!
This is where it started to go wrong for Cody. At least he has owned up for that blunder.

I doubt that anyone in WWE cares about Progress outside of Triple H and nobody knows what the f*** he even does anymore.

I think PROGRESS' affiliation with WWE ended as of this month. PROGRESS will be affiliated with New Japan Pro Wrestling after this month.

Also means that this is a nothingburger with Ogogo considering NJPW and AEW's own friendly relations.

I think they're keeping a relationship with both considering Will Ospreay is still a big part of RevPro and both Shota Umino and Yota Tsuji are on excursion there. From what I can gather, at least.
