Wonder if they'll work in a reason to extend the feud to Revolution or if this is the blowoff. Hoping the former if only because the, "MJF looks like a cowardly loser every week but then gets in one beatdown before losing the match," structure was already weak enough when they did it with the Mox feud and I don't really know what either of them could be doing at the PPV that'd top just continuing this unless you majorly rush the Wardlow feud.

I’m excited. I got a similar feeling about it being prolonged but, whatever, looking forward to it.
Rooting for MJF but it’s looking like Punk wins.

I’m calling a Punk win due to Wardlow finally snapping and powerbombing MJF.
Having said that, some sort of screwy finish with MJF winning that gets massive heat would be good.

It seemed weird they mentioned the podcast this week of all weeks and with Chicago next week, part of me - a small part - is wondering if somehow Colt gets involved. Probably no way, but it just seemed odd to mention it.

I feel like this ends up being a fakeout kinda match but I've been wrong before. It was in my name for like a year.

I know it’s a meme at this point about booking things FOR THE HEATZ, but, and I say this as a Chicagoland native and a huge CM Punk fan, if MJF beats Punk, then this would be the right time for heat.
Or if Punk wins because Wardlow finally beat up MJF, then that is great two.
I feel like both options would be great routes to take to be honest.

The post-promo beat down on Punk seems to obvious as an “out” of the match next week in Chicago, but I feel like the feud has been drawn out this far.
It only makes sense to drag it out five more weeks for the “Revolution” card.
For even more heel heat, I could see a still recovering and battered Punk showing up to fight with MJF having to back out of the match due to an insignificant training injury or something.
However, doing a bait and switch isn’t like AEW, and to announce and promote the match for next week for free and the not deliver may alienate some casual fans.

This is definitely the kind of feud where you can do a first match and build to a stip match at the PPV. Like have MJF do something dastardly to win, Punk beats him at the PPV in a cage match. Wardlow wins the TNT Title the Dynamite after and then MJF tries to take it and boom, there's that feud.

If Punk and Colt buried the hatchet, Colt subbing in for Punk next week due to the beat down would be fun.
But there isn’t really anything to suggest that is the case.

I don't see the feud ending here or possibly even a match happening at all. If I were booking I'd have MJF beat him in Chicago to extend the feud even more.

Definitely seems like they’re just scratching the surface of this feud and are doing a TV match to pop a rating.
I don’t want it to be over yet. It’s been half a letdown.

I hope it’s the end cuz I’m way more interested in Wardlow vs MJF at this point. Plus I’m still bitter about how short the punk/Kingston feud was lol.

I think they kind of need to go the, "Wardlow wins a belt and then MJF demands he hand it over, he doesn't," route with the angle because the way it's coming together otherwise kind of inherently undercuts itself. You'd kind of need MJF to lose a match due to Wardlow to be the big tipping point, but MJF loses so little that that kind of locks you into MJF not losing two feuds in a row, but it'd completely destroy Wardlow to lose to MJF right after turning on him.

They've sold 175 tickets since the announcement 12 hours ago. That's pretty good.

I love the thought of big matches, even feud-ending ones, taking place at Dynamite, making the weekly wrestling more unpredictable.
