Great spot, right up there with the Edge-Jeff spear In the moment that spot and the cutter were my top 2 of all time ladder spots. 12+ hours later? Still feel the same way. Just absolutely in-damn-sane and it could easily be argued the cutter spot had a higher degree of difficulty

Still not a fan of Sammy's selling (or lack thereof) but man that spot was incredible, executed to perfection. Easily the best ladder match spot since the Edge/Jeff spear.

The taking of a flat back bump from that height by Jeff was a higher degree of difficulty than Cody’s jumping front bump.

Great spot, really a work of art. His selling is so terrible though.

The refs did a great job during that match, too. Getting ladders out of the way, holding ladders still, and basically doing everything to make sure the spots were as safe as they could be. I've seen some criticism of how obvious some of it was, but I think even in kayfabe you can make an argument that it's the ref's job to do that during a ladder match.

As long as it doesn't turn into Earl Hebner posing with Razor at Mania 10

That was a sweet looking cutter and this will definitely be in the AEW highlight packages for years to come.
I didn't think Sammy would regain the title as I thought Cody was in for a longer reign.

That will be on every AEW Highlight Reel till the end of time And it should be, the picture perfect accuracy to pull it off cannot be overstated, that's true skill and trust in action Bravo to them both Yeah, the amount of balance and timing on both performers here is super impressive. Man that spot was excellent. Wasn't a big fan of the outside ladder spot where Sammy did a tumbleweed onto a ladder that didn't bend. That could've ended really bad The tumbleweed honestly looked like it hurt Sammy more than Cody...

Yeah thats why I wasn't a fan of it. Sammy dodged a bullet and could've injured himself permantley if the timing was off by an inch

It made for a great visual and the spot was executed perfectly. There were a lot of things that could have gone wrong during that match that thankfully didn't.

Now, is this now the greatest Cutter spot in all of wrestling, or does the Orton/Rollins RKO still reign supreme? There's definitely arguments for both.

I lean Seth/Orton because even if the timing was off a little on Sammy/Cody they probably could have gotten away with it, but there was literally no way that Seth RKO spot woulda looked good if the timing was off.

Didn't Seth have to bug the shit out of Orton to get him to do it because Orton thought it was too risky?

Yeah, they put over on commentary that they had two refs for that purpose, to try to stabilize the ladder if necessary and to move it so people don't get injured unnecessarily. Which, it makes sense, since otherwise, there really would be zero reason for a ref to even be in the ring in a ladder match, since they could just watch for whenever the object is taken down and call for the bell then.

That cutter spot was nuts, can’t imagine how terrified they were up there before the spot lol, those guys went out there and put on a show. Match got five stars from Big Dave, won’t really argue about that one.

The Cross Rhodes off the ladder was pretty gnarly, too, but obviously, the cutter most of all.

Meltzer gave the match 5 stars. Not sure I agree but nice props to both men nonetheless
