Instead of being fed to Butterbean. Bart Gunn rejoins Billy in DX and becomes Bart "The Fister" Gunn. They are known as Fist n' Ass.

I remember someone here said that if King Kong Bundy wrestled in the Attitude Era, Vince Russo would make him a slob who eats turkeys and doughnuts in his matches while thinking he's a stud muffin who can score with Sable. I would've loved to see that just for the car crash element of it.

Duke The Dumpster turns heel and starts going through wrestler's trash to find embarrassing items. That would make a good GTV segment.

I've actually thought about making a thread about this idea for my pick before. I would've loved to have seen Godfather, Yoko, and basically the better part of BSK show up with Taker around the time Undertaker went ABA. They were all in to gangster rap and shit like that, and even though Undertaker came out to rock music his style around the Big Evil time definitely had elements of street culture in it. Dress them all up like this essentially: encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTvf1eiFH6zb41eUtaDjzdSsO2ajpyQDKeEGg&usqp=CAU(Sorry don't know how to embed on my phone) Could probably even still call them BSK.

Doink The Clown as a Faygo-swiging Juggalo or Mantaur as a vicious Wrestling Monster in the vein of Black Taurus are the ones I can think of.

So I actually have a fantasy booking saved on a flashdrive that attempted this. I had a stable war between the Kliq, the Hart Foundation, BSK and a Shane Douglas led group:
Hart Foundation was Bret, Owen, Bulldog, Austin and The Gunns. Austin fought Bret on his first night, then helped him when he got beat up by BSK. The Gunns had a friendly rivalry with Owen and Bulldog.
The Kliq was HBK, Diesel, Razor, Helmsley and Kid. Helmsley and Kid basically adopted their DX characters, just toned down, since they were faces.
BSK, or The Knew, was Undertaker, Yokozuna, Fatu, Savio Vega, The Godwinns and Kama. Undertaker was basically BikerTaker, while Yokozuna and Fatu were 3MW. Vega was his Los Boriquas character, The Godwinns were Southern Justice, and Kama was proto-Godfather.
Extreme Prejudice was Douglas, Skip, Sunny, Bam Bam Bigelow and Jean Pierre Lafitte. Basically, they became the Triple Threat, with Lafitte acting as the Brian Lee of the group.
I only got a little ways past Mania 12, but I had plans to keep going:
I was going to have Jake Roberts be a Raven-esque character who used his preachings to corrupt other wrestlers. I was going to build a stable with him, Aldo Montoya, Isaac Yankem and maybe Leif Cassidy.
Ron Simmons and Too Cold Scorpio would've been a hip-hop/rap based team.
Barry Windham was going to be a literal stalker character and feud with Marc Mero over Sable.
Jesse James would've returned as the Road Dogg.
Terri Runnels was going to a psych patient who posed as Goldust's nurse, but was actually with Mankind all along. (Goldust was an androgynous face character, probably the biggest stretch in the story lol)
I had plans to make the Bushwhackers become the Sheepherders and face the Gunns.
I had a weird Ultimate Warrior thing at one point, where he was going to be a heel and fight Marc Mero, who was doing his own Ultimate Warrior gimmick? Yeah, I don't know...
Man, now I want to pull this up and look it over again!

Tatanka joins the APA and starts drinking beer, and gambling.
(I'm going to hell for suggesting that aren't I. It's not like WWF was above such portrayals of minorities at the time.)

Doink would have been a good one, as they could have reverted him back to heel and revisited the initial story he debuted with of who was the proficient wrestler behind the mask. Maybe a forced unmasking could lead to Matt Borne becoming unstable like Kane in 2003. Basically, the Borne Again gimmick from ECW with Matt becoming even more psychotic and his Doink persona even sicker. Tekno Team 2000 - these guys share a paranoid delusion that they're from a dystopic future and have come back to stop American society from destroying the world. Kind of a modern twist on the old American-hating foreigner gimmick. They drop the shiny "futuristic" get up for a more industrial wasteland look. Erik Watts' identity and relationship with his father is discussed a la Goldust as some kind of trigger for his madness. Headbanger Thrasher was supposed to be repackaged as Doink during the Attitude Era. With Bruce Prichard as his manager. Can't remember all the details or if Prichard was supposed to be Brother Love or a new character but Prichard has mentioned this a few times. Bruce said it'd be a new gimmick like Dan Akroyd's character from SNL that was an infomercial huckster... so basically a Ron Popeil

Bruce was around the summer of 99 coming down after hardcore matches, "stealing" broken tables/weapons on camera in the background and he was going to "sell" them on wwe.com leading to the gimmick but it was scrapped

Man, now I want to pull this up and look it over again! So I did end up looking over what I had saved and disappointingly, none of the stuff listed for post-Mania is on there, save for Jake being somewhat deceptive. In fact, what I have saved is very cookie-cutter WWF booking for 1996. I remember having a show-by-show write-up of every Raw from after SummerSlam 95, but all I have on this file is broad outlines of the build to each PPV. I remember at least getting to King of the Ring and having Austin turn heel after having his head shaved, the curtain call happening after Raw and Undertaker beating the shit out of Triple H for it, Brian Pillman feuding with Shane Douglas in both ECW and WWF, and Mankind as IC Champ. The saved file has it on Savio Vega instead. Too bad. I came up with some really coked up shit at one point and I don't even do coke. I would've loved to have posted it for you all as a laugh... I was pleased to see that my Vader/Bam Bam tag team carried over, however. Although Vader is named "The Mastodon"??
