Degrassi: The Next Generation after most of the OG cast left. It was pretty much Degrassi: The Next Next Generation by that point. I mean the beauty about degrassi was that you could always change the ensamble cast every few years. The school was the main character. Hell it’s coming back on HBO max next year. That’s not to say that first Next Generation class wasn’t superior because it sure as shit was.

By time Rachel left, it was unrecognizable from season 1 and just felt really weird since they were now two generations removed from Zack morris era.

Sabrina The Teenage Witch
she had just turned 16 in the pilot and it ran for 7 years (though I'm guessing they played a little loose with that as the school years was 4 seasons), the final season is her in the workplace/getting married and her Aunts are not even on the show anymore (Caroline Rhea returns for the finale), only her and Salem remain (with Harvey getting a special guest star whenever he pops up)

The 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is another one. In an attempt to compete with the new crop of 90's superhero cartoons like X-Men and Batman: The Animated Series, TMNT seasons eight to ten gave us what the fandom now call the "Red Sky Episodes". Darker and more serious with much less humor, we got a new theme song, new villains, new allies, modified character designs and general animation changes, including an ominous red night time sky. It was so tonally divorced from what came before that they probably would've been better off just renaming the show, or even rebooting the series. Maybe, but continuity wise it picked up right where season 7 left off. Krang still had his android body at the end of season 7, but by the time the eighth season started he was just in the Bubble Walker and his body was back in the Technodrome stuck in Dimension X Not the first instance of the continuity being all over the place in that show.

His android body was enlarged (and if I remember correctly destroyed) in the season 7 finale.

Krang was left trapped on Earth in his android body when the Technodrome was sent back to Dimension X in season seven. When the red sky era began, he had his bubble walker. Krang's body wasn't seen again until the Turtles discovered it in the Technodrome in the season ten finale, they then used it as a weapon against Lord Dregg. I have the entire show on DVD and have seen these episodes more than once. This is what actually happened.
