This year's were 28 and 30, last year's were 1 and 3, 2020's were 16 and 17. I guess this year is somewhat excusable given who they opted to go with (between Brock unlikely wanting to be in for long and I doubt Ronda would've been physically capable of it) but is it really that hard to go, "Okay, if we're having the winner run the gauntlet in one match, then don't also have the winner do it in the other match," or whatever?

If you ask a human to be random, chances are more likely than not they won't be. Same principle with the Rumble winners spacing. Either that or they are just that lazy.
