Seriously.
Brock winning the Rumble after just losing the title is a terrible idea in itself and one that I'm pretty sure absolutely nobody wanted to see.
But would it have killed him to atleast SELL what happened earlier in the night? Your manager and long term colleague just screwed you and cost you the title!
There is no signs of any anger or anything over this. Brock comes out smiling and ready to go. No "pissed off determined" look on his face. Nothing.
Then he wins and starts smiling again.
I feel like I'm the only one that gets bothered by this.
Is psychology and storytelling a lost art in this business these days? What happened to selling injuries and big moments?

Depends on how you’ll look at it. One could argue this was Brock getting the last laugh, after Roman/Paul tried to put one over on him

We are already talking about this in the Nick Khan thread.

I'm pretty sure WWE tells them not to do this. They want video game wrestling, where everyone does their choreographed entrances every time without fail.

Selling is over in all of wrestling right now.
Ignoring story in WWE, constant moves and bouncing about in AEW.
That’s the new pandemic in wrestling.

Nobody sells in any company False, Eddie KIngston is one of the best sellers I've ever seen, and he constantly gets me to bite on if he's legitimately hurt or not. Jamie Hayer also bumps like she's in a Street Fighter game sometimes...

You almost never see people coming out actually angry in WWE; they have to come out, ahve to do their entrances, if you smile you have to f***ing smile the whole time. If I remember correctly, the idea was born out of some Vince idea that if people bought a ticket they definitely need to see every entrance be that entrance or they'll get disappointed, and so the on-screen stories took a really huge hit because almost never does anyone get to emote.

I think this is generally an issue, but ironically not really one here. Brock was getting exactly what he wanted and knew he was going to maul the remaining guys for an easy title shot, and presumably, revenge against Roman. It'd be weird if he wasn't smiling.

What annoyed me was the announcers not even challenging the logic of dude being the damn champion earlier tonight but strong armed his way into being #30?
Like they were just reading the script, no care or thought for what the viewers are witnessing.

I think Owens is one of the few that sell a beating the next time he comes out. I remember the LMS match he had against Ambrose at the RR one year, he comes out pissed off, limping and just yelling to Mox; "I HATE YOU!"

Sell?
But that would take time away from everyone getting all their shit in every match.

Even YB which people love to say they dont usually sell injuries the next week. There is definetely the Sammy Guevaras and people that dont even try to sell the effects of a match the next week, especially in tag matches, but its hardly everyone. It helps too a lot of people disappear for a couple of weeks after a devasting loss

I thought this was a Ronda Rousey thread because she's as bad as Brock was. She wasn't even selling punches.

Brock sells beautifully when he needs to.
It’s Charlotte who doesn’t sell. She could not even sell her elimination last night.
