I don't regularly watch Raw and Smackdown but did watch the Rumble and I thought it was just a result of not watching that led to me not recognizing most of the themes. I'm sad to know that it's because the themes are just awful. Fans should be able to recognize the theme and the wrestler in only a couple of seconds. Austin and The Rock never had the best music, IMO, but they had the glass shattering/"If you smell..." stuff at the start to pop the crowd. It's cheap, but even a few random sound effects added to the start would help with some of those generic themes.

The issue is that 'Wrestling theme goblin' isn't a job you're going to have if you're actually talented. WWE got lucky that Jim Johnston was basically competent and CFO$ weren't that but they could at least write an entrance hook in several different styles. The guy they have now is production library tier Don't diss production library themes several iconic wrestling themes are production themes. Booker T, Hardy Boys are two off the top of my head. Lex Luger's 95-98 theme and Jericho's WCW heel theme.

NWO Rockhouse too IMO. Lol. probably the biggest one I missed >_> And "Marvelous" Marc Mero, Cactus Jack, the Dudley Boyz first well-known theme in the WWF and Crash Holly as well. Great all-time production themes.

This is why I've never wanted them to change Becky's theme, because I doubt they'd be able to come up with anything better. The one she's had is at least memorable and fun for the fans to sing along to.

The Royal Rumble situation was rough, but for me, nothing tops them changing Bret Hart's incredibly iconic theme for his big WWE return. Granted, they kept the guitar squeal, but it still really hurt the moment, IMO.

That said I've literally never even heard of Boogs, Moss or Holland.
