"-but this ain't enough. I need to do a Coast 2 Coast, I need to somehow get a weapon in the match, I need to hit a Shooting Star Press, I need to-" "-but Shane...you're winning a striking contest with former MMA fighter Matt Riddle and you're eliminating former Universal Champion Kevin Owens..." "-yeah yeah I need to do more than that be-" "BECAUSE WHAT SHANE!? THAT'S ALL YOU'RE GONNA DO" I'm gonna bet $10 that he wanted to have a "two GOATs staring down about to go to war" spot with Brock Lesnar lmao I can easily see Shane wanting that Lesnar match lmao. "Yeah I gotta do what I can." Now, with this news it makes the whole "Tough Shane Era" thing shine brighter. Shane's here whining about not doing enough after years of him being overpowered just says to me that the reason Shane was so strong all these years is because he wanted to be strong. He wanted to be pushed hard, he wanted to beat on these talent and legends. Damn lol.

This is hilarious. Best story of the year already and we're only in February.
And yeah, I can imagine that people were pissed if Shane's demands screwed around with Bad Bunny's booking. Not only has Bad Bunny put in way more effort into his wrestling spots than anyone expected him to/he needed to, but he's still not a wrestler. He's not equipped to deal with changes on the fly. Him and Johnny Knoxville were the two people who's Rumble spots needed to be well planned and set in stone as early as possible. Wrestling is far too dangerous for non-wrestlers to be messed around with.

I think Shane did himself no favors here and probably deserves to be gone. But WWE does also have a history of passing the buck and blaming others so that Vince doesn’t take the blame. In the last few days we’ve heard reports about Brock, Shane, Ronda, Charlotte, etc that paint them in not great light. It all feels, convenient, timing wise. Especially since earlier reports said that Vince was VERY hands on with the Men’s Rumble in particular. What did Bork do? Allegedly, and I emphasize allegedly, it was Brock’s idea to just go in there and kill everyone in the Rumble in minutes to look “strong” for facing Roman. So the dud of an ending for the match was his idea. I am skeptical because this does not really line up with what we’ve heard about how Brock does business before. And if anything, he looked kind of stupid earlier with the finish to the WWE Title match.

It’s amazing seeing all those billionaire kids thinking they hit a triple when they were simply born on third.

Between this and the Davey Richards story, this is already an incredible year for wrestling drama.
And there's 11 months to go!

Honestly, even if it were, I don't even care, that was like the least of the Rumble's myriad problems.

I'm sure glad one of the final 4 in the Royal Rumble is not with the company anymore. Definitely reinforces that I should get invested in this product.

I can't wait for the tell-all book about WWE's last 20 years or so. It's going to be a trip.

It’s amazing seeing all those billionaire kids thinking they hit a triple when they were simply born on third. That's a society problem...there was a study done where they had a group of people play monopoly. They gave some players built in advantages like life has, like starting with more money, properties etc while others got nothing..when the people with the advantages won they did an exit interview, not one of them ever said they won because they started with an advantage. All of them talked about the great strategies they employed and their gameplay moves.

The next Dark Side of the Ring should be about Shane McMahon at the 2022 Royal Rumble.

So is the WWE Releases thread unlocked again? It probably should be with this announcement and knowing the earnings report is tomorrow...

Sounds like Brock might have gone back to his old self which would suck if true. Brock when he gives a shit is like Orton in that he's really dope.

It's why when Big Cass got fired for going off script with a Daniel Bryan impersonator, it was such a serious deal and pretty justified. These people aren't trained for it and they open up massive liability for the company, you don't f*** around with them.
