The men also had an insulting and dull as dogshit ending that puts it just below 2015 for me as a complete and total trainwreck of a finish, so I rank it a bit higher than a bit in terms of what was lacking, but I digress The women's match was fun in some spots, but very sloppy, poorly paced, and Ronda looked awful so the end really put a damper on things. Wasn't AWFUL but it was noticeably starved for and putting over current women, which is reflective in the fact Ronda's challenging Charlotte and Becky's feuding with Lita now. Ronda, Charlotte and Becky are all current women. And Rhea and Bianca had good runs as well, as did Nikki ASH. And I think the men’s ending was so flat because they had to rush it to finish by 12 for some reason. Charlotte, Becky, and Ronda are the only women who truly got good runs. Bianca is ok, but they story still needs a payoff. Rhea and Nikki’s were, not good.

Liv too lasted awhile, although no eliminations. And Zelina had a good showing.

-Extras and backups such as Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, Apollo Crews, R-Truth, and more also did media work Good lord does this comment ever look bad. Is it just who they decided to list, or does the WWE really have an almost exclusively black group of "extras and backups?"

Amid all the hubbub about Finn and Cesaro being absent, I hadn't realized who else didn't get to go to the dance. And any of those men might well have livened up that middle part of the Rumble. That's...quite an oversight, isn't it?

I'd say when it comes to the McMahons it's just kind of a pick your poison to me. Do you prefer someone who's unwatchably bad because she's basically just a story breaker Mary Sue who everyone drops everything to kiss up to and praise and very rarely gets anything resembling comeuppance, or someone who's unwatchably bad because he was never a particularly good performer to begin with and by now is years past his insane bumps having any real novelty and along the way he developed the delusion that people liked him back in the day for being some kind of unstoppable badass MMA superstar instead of for being an idiot who jumped off things?
