Attempting to use iMovie, Is That Even Possible?

I've never attempted to use a shittier program ever. All I want to do is try and delete the background noise on a video and maybe enhance it, but I can't even begin to figure out how. All those things seem possible, it says it can do it, but it leaps 3/4 of the way through the video anytime I move the cursor.

How the f*** do you even use this program?
