Hey folks I figured I'd ask you all for advice rather than read Amazon reviews. We have extremely slow streams in our house right now. We have basic cable on one tv which we almost never use. I have my smartphone, my wife has one, our daughters each have an iPad for streaming and educational games, and we have 4 TV's that mostly stream but one tv is almost never used. We have approximately 1200 sq ft of house and 2 floors. We do not game at all. What is the best solution? Our router is very old and our modem I believe was provided by our cable company. Do I need a new router or should I do a modem router combo? What do you recommend? Thankful for all input.

I think you should try to upgrade your internet speed with your provider

I think you should try to upgrade your internet speed with your provider This is what I did. I went from 200 to 300 speed. Also traded in our 6 year old modem for a new one plus a new router they offered plus an extender. Much better!

I try to stay away from modem/router combos, personally. Might be just me, but seems like there's performance issues with the ones I've used. But hey, glad OP found a solution.
