I hate, hate, HATE the current super bowl field designs. It's just, blah. I love the older design that was around for years, so just messing around on my phone did this and I think it looks so. Much better. Obviously you would use the current word marks I'd even give them leaving the Super Bowl Logo the way it is, though I prefer the logo at center and team helmets at the 30. God, I'm bored.

A fellow field aficionado! And here I thought I was the only one!
I don't mind the field for Super Bowl LVI. It's not perfect (the Super Bowl logo looks incomplete without the palm trees, the Rams' script would look better in yellow, I would've preferred the Rams' ram logo over the LA logo) but it's a lot better than it could have been.
We've seen some particularly lousy Super Bowl fields in recent years, really ever since the league converted the Super Bowl logo to a generic template. Super Bowl XLV in Dallas (Pittsburgh vs. Green Bay) was notable for how faded the Super Bowl logo looked on the field, LI in Houston (New England vs. Atlanta) had the colors in the end zone washing out by the fourth quarter, LII in Minneapolis (Philadelphia vs. New England) had the Eagles' end zone script that was way too small, and XLVIII in New Jersey (Seattle vs. Denver) was probably the worst of all time, with the league retaining MetLife Stadium's standard minimal NFL logo at midfield rather than the larger 10-yard shield and the mismatched conference logos not properly balanced.
I think I'm fine with the NFL shield at the 50 and the Super Bowl logos at the 25 over the helmets, which we saw up until Super Bowl XXXVII, but I would prefer the Conference logos to return to the end zones, which disappeared after Super Bowl XLIX. The end zones feel a little bare without them. I'd also like to see team-specific colors return to the 25-yard lines and two-point conversion lines, but those are nitpicks that I don't think will ever return.

To specify, I don't mind the field design this year, either, since they balanced the team names out with logos. I'm partial to the design with the league shield and conference logos in the end zone, helmets on the field and SB logo at the 50, but I don't mind the design you noted, either. After playing for a bit in Photoshop, I like the shield at the 50 and the SB logos at the 25 as well. The only time I'd change it is for a specific anniversary, for example NFL 100 a few years back, but I also went with the old school helmets in the end zone. I'll upload some stuff if there's interest. That Super Bowls you referenced specifically were the epitome of how bad it is now. The end zones just looked bare, particularly the Eagles one. I love the little stuff like team colors at the 20/25 and 2-point lines as well. Perhaps I'll add that too.
