To think, Zack claims to have six of these just for Netflix. I just know Sarandos is punching the air right now. Netflix already shitcanned his planned Army of the Dead spinoffs and threw this movie out with minimal fanfare. I would be amazed if they throw any more money Snyder's way for more of these.

Yeah, they threw it out there with zero hype and one trailer. At this rate his only chance are the free streaming channels like Tubi

I'd totally watch Zack Snyder try to do one of his 5 hour slow mo extravaganzas ona Tubi Original budget For what was essentially one $166 million production, parts of Rebel Moon do look incredibly cheap.

That might just be a Netflix thing. The Witcher looked incredibly cheap in places too in spite of the financial investment

Get this, apparently there's a four minute scene of farming, done in slow motion

Took the words right out of my mouth. I was just thinking the chances of that actually being in the movie and just being a shitpost were about equal with Zack Snyder. Wild to see it almost immediately verified.

You know they could have saved face if they said that the grain had special effects. Such as a handful could fill up a grown man for twenty four hours, or it can also be used as fuel for ships.
Instead it's just your run of the mill grain.

Instead it's just your run of the mill grain. Because that would require Zack Snyder to actually put any thought into his seven samurai movie... and he clearly didn't

I watched half of Part Two at work tonight. My co-worker put it on the office TV, we got to the "last supper" scene before he apologised and asked if I had any objections to watching something else.
I genuinely think this might be Snyder's worse movie. It's not as offensively poor as Sucker Punch, but it is utterly devoid of entertainment.

I can't be too harsh on Zack. I wanted him to stop ruining established franchises and instead go create his own terrible ones, and that's what he did. Keep going Zack. Keep making shit, as long as it's your own shit.

This is just pathetic with his attempts to be edgy

My guess is this is an attempt to trick people who don’t know better into thinking this is a new movie as opposed to a director’s cut.

Zack Snyder had talent at one point, right?
Was I crazy to think so?

Zack Snyder had talent at one point, right? Was I crazy to think so? I'd say he's a decent junk food director who thinks he's a generational talent at both that and being a writer. If he just pointed a camera at other people's scripts and churned out brainless action movies he'd probably be fine but he's insistent on trying to do high art and he's awful at it.

I still maintain his best movie is Dawn of the Dead because it jettisons all the stuff from the original he simply cannot understand – the social commentary and satire – and instead plays to his strengths as a director.
