Last night had me sold. It was Jericho's best work since Le Champion and Santana looked like he was gold out there with Jericho on the mic.

Jericho name dropping Homicide popped me. And Santana and Ortiz, Santana especially look fantastic and really feel hot. I'm not feeling Jericho at the moment, and Hager is there and probably one whose not getting their contract renewed, but looking forward to the fallout and see what Santana and Ortiz do next.

Good so far. I think it gives Santana and Ortiz some much needed direction and I think them teaming with Kingston for like a Nuyorican face faction would be pretty cool. Sammy was pretty much on his own already. And Jericho gets to pivot back from cringey face to hopefully great heel.

Santana is so good, man. That's a dude who, if they wanna, can become a major singles star too. He really resonates with the crowd. Loved him looking directly into the camera with the 'can you f***ing believe this guy' face when Jericho was setting up next week's match.

Dude has the It factor and I've been realizing that every time I've seen him lately. I honestly hope him and Ortiz have an absolutely tragic breakup later on down the line cause those two versus eachother with Ortiz as the heel in a proper blood feud would be moneymoneymoney for both of them.

I know Inner Circle have teased breakups before, so I get people being over it, but I am digging this. I love that both sides had points, even if I am far more sympathetic to Santana and Ortiz's points. I did also like that Sammy didn't tolerate the casual disrespect from Jericho, even if he caught himself before going too far with it. I liked the crowd popping for Sammy standing up for himself and saying he doesn't need this distraction from being a champion and walked out on them, telling them to settle this.
I don't think the Inner Circle survives this time, but I am certainly curious, if they do, what the reasoning will be. The only way I could see them staying is if Proud and Powerful win the match and Jericho shows grace over it.

What I like about it is the closure that comes from them deciding to break up. I'm curious about what they do from here. Sammy is obviously fine to set out on his own. Santana & Ortiz seem like a no-brainer babyface tag team who can align with Eddie Kingston and challenge for the tag titles. Does that mean they turn Jericho heel? He's completely over with the audience and his entrance is an audience participation event. Should be interesting to see it continue to unfold.

Honestly I don't like it. I'd rather see them drift apart and the IC just not be mentioned. Like have it so they're off doing their own thing and down the line say Sammy is being jumped after a match and PnP or Jericho make the save, even if say one is heel and the other face let there be a bond.
As a segment it was great but just overall I'm not feeling it I guess.

I was also happy Sammy didn't instantly stick by Jericho like his sidekick like he had been early in AEW. He's found his footing and no longer needs Chris. Love it.

I thought the segment itself was a little hit or miss. It felt long to me, for whatever reason.
That said, I thought Proud and Powerful's role was GREAT and it's clear they're ready for the big dance. Honestly, I thought it kind of exposed Sammy a bit - he's felt directionless to me for a bit now and I just don't think he's got really good babyface promo skills. My other concern is Jericho feels a little stale right now, but we'll see where it goes.

I thought the segment last night was one of the best aspects in a show already packed with them. Think everyone played their part perfectly (even Hager). I literally thought to myself “Shut up, Sammy” right before Jericho said it so that got a kick out of me.
I was also worried they were going to go with P&P bewilderingly leaning heel and Jericho face but last night showed the opposite is true. A heel Jericho in the current climate sounds great. P&P getting some focus again sounds great. Sammy either turning heel or doing his own thing seems right. Also Hager.

Surprisingly good. I was basically done with them after the awful Lambert crap with Jericho in particular hitting new lows since then. This is kind of interesting though and Jericho is back to playing his part well so far. Eddie can only make it better.
I did think staying loosely aligned rather than disbanding was a good idea but now I'd rather they go out in a high. They were too important early on and particularly during the worse of the pandemic to be dragged down any further, I want to remember them fondly.
It's also a nice change for the tag team to lead the break up, it's usually the singles stars.

I thought the segment was great. Planted seeds for Jericho to go heel again, took a step in getting Sammy out from under Jericho's shadow, and allowed PnP to show character and proper motivation which makes sense.
I did think the line of the promo was Jericho saying the worst thing they did was deprive the audience of seeing Jericho wrestle which is just such a big headed heel line.

As a segment it was great but just overall I'm not feeling it I guess. I would be down with having a gradual split, but I feel like that was supposed to be the case in the summer after the Pinnacle feud ended, but when you do that, you run the risk of having the faction become a crutch when it's convenient, and that's what happened when Jericho feuded with American Top Team in the fall, and it just derailed Sammy's momentum as TNT champion, and took Santana and Ortiz out of the tag division yet again. They need a definitive end so when Jericho finds himself feuding with another person in a faction or even just a tag team or trio, there's a reason why PNP and Sammy aren't making the save for him. Particularly in AEW, where a significant portion of the roster has some sort of alliance to fall back on, whether they are heels or faces.

I think if this does anything it's gonna get Santana over huge
That boy is good, like REALLY good. Giving him a chance to shine is a big deal. Kingston and Jericho also seems like an obvious endgame here for Revolution if Kingston is cleared to return by then, sucks he wasn't there for the segment as he was the only thing missing, but it was fantastic anyway.

Santana was absolutely the star of this segment. His look to the camera killed me. Jericho has to be turning heel here I just don’t know how you keep him face in this angle. He comes off as so insincere.

He comes off as so insincere. He does feel, at least, like the de facto heel of this angle, whether he turns heel or not. He was the one who lashed out at Sammy, not Santana, despite Sammy preventing it from coming to blows. He was a condescending dick the whole segment, and it's just a heel move to call yourself "The Influencer", etc. I loved Santana's playing to the camera at the audacity of Jericho at the end of the segment, since Jericho couldn't even leave without getting in more condescending parting shots.

This entire situation with P&P feels literally lifted from that actual thing that happened.
